Two kids killed? I’m betting there’s more to this story.

Snakes generally eat what they kill, right?

The story is short on details. Were the 5 and 7 year old boys in the home alone? Couldn’t at least one of them scream to whatever adult was watching them, or maybe the snake got them in the middle of the night? Just terrible.

That’s awful. Somebody must have been starving the snake, because we stink pretty badly to them. Most pythons I knew preferred not to kill their prey before swallowing them.

Pythons are a big problem in FL. FL has had their share of horror stories with these snakes.
Sad to see young kids die from this

Great, it isn’t enough that we have to worry about a Zombie Apocalypse, now we have to worry about snakes off the plane too? Wait till they leave the swamps of FL and start looking into homes for prey.

I don't know anything about pythons or other large snakes, so I don't know if this is suspicious or not. I would think that the autopsies would be able to verify that they had internal injuries consistent with the presumption that the snake wrapped itself around each of the boys, and strangled them in their sleep. If there was foul play involved, and the snake was planted there by someone to cover up the murders, I would think that would be easy to determine.

Every python in North America should be eradicated forthwith. Make them extinct, with a huge fine and jail sentence for anyone caught bringing another one in.
To: xzins
and how is a pet store that is allowed to have exotic animals like pythons allowed to be located in the same building, and right below, residential apartments?!?!?

There is something WAAAYYYY wrong with this story. Snakes don’t go on murderous rampages. Five and seven years old? That’s pretty big food. Snakes eat what they kill and they don’t have dessert. There is more to this story. St00pid reporting here.
