Get a public employee mad for doing a slow job and the cops get called.

I'm a shuttle driver for a hotel near the DFW airport, and in the last year a building program of making new toll plazas on the north and south end has taken place and part of this program has been to build very narrow concrete barriers to enter and exit the DFW airport.

The concrete barrier lanes, makes one feel one is entering or leaving a fortress compound, such as the Berlin Wall. There is only one wide lane for 22 passenger hotel shuttles or semi's, and this lane is not toll tag only meaning that any car may go in the lane, discriminating against vehicles that go into the airport with regularity with a toll tag, such as the vehicle I drive, because there is not an exclusive lane for wide vehicles with Texas toll tags.

I was departing the DFW airport and got caught, in which I believe was a car not having a ticket to depart in the wide lane. I waited four minutes and started to honk to get attention, so that traffic could move, I kept honking, and honking, because I knew I was the only driver on duty for the hotel. I put my vehicle in park, and got of the vehicle, to push my protest of the delay with no avail.

Finally after 12 minutes of waiting the red minivan went through, and I was notified by my radio and by my supervisor that I had been honking and had gotten out of the vehicle to see what was going on in 104 degree heat.

Anyway the DFW toll plaza is a total cluster youknowwhat. It is like a mini Berlin wall and is filled with recent immigrant employees, with rudimentary English, mostly from Africa and the Asian sub-continent.

The place is run by a man named Dean Ahmed, who has no idea about customer service. I have talked to him on the phone, he is your typical arrogant democrat.

Also, by my honking of the bad customer service, I was called into the DFW police who called my hotel, and now I have to suffer the HR director saying, "you don't honk", while she tells us, "to give the best service possible".

I wonder what she will say and look like, when I say,"Shouldn't the DFW parking authority give me the same."

As per the site I provided, cars cannot pass within inches from pedestrians in a crosswalk, and if they are close enough to kick, they are breaking the law. If you choose to remain ignorant of this fact, that’s up to you.

You ain't the law, the judge, the jury or the cop.

You don't get to decide what gets kicked and damaged.

You're just some fool standing in the road.

Just Google “crosswalk sting”. Sure, maybe I’m breaking a law, but so are they. If they want to face a judge over it, then so will I.

You keep thinking in terms of “a Judge”.

You never answered, so tell me judge, how is that any different than putting a beat-down on someone who kicks your car?

The car-kicker is the aggressor. Damaged my property.

Obvious malcontent maladjusted individual.

When confronted over his out-of-control, act.. he became confrontational and violent.

Fearing for my safety, and that of my property, I had to
pound his ass into the concrete and deliver a kick to the
face (the dental industry needs business) before calling
your beloved cops and judges to report this assault upon
my property and my person, perpetrated by some mook loitering in
the road upon which I had been cleared to proceed.

You drive a 2-ton vehicle close to my body, that makes you the aggressor. Your car gets kicked, and you get out of the safety of your car to assault the pedestrian, and that makes you the aggressor again. Sorry, but there’s no court that will say that if I dent your car that you are justified in denting my head ... assuming you could.

Get your body out of the damn road when I have a green light.

You drive a 2-ton vehicle close to my body, that makes you the aggressor.

Not if your stupid "standing-in-the-road" ass damages my vehicle.

You weren't hit, you were just mad because you found yourself in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

I have a gift. You will easily be made even MORE ate-up than is needed for you to take that first swing.

How about you just keep yourself out of the way of vehicles?

Just keep believing that being behind the wheel makes you some kind o a god, and mere mortals in the crosswalk have no rights. Next time your sitting at a red light waiting to make a left turn, why even bother looking in the crosswalk - just hit the gas when the green light gives you the “all clear”. Good luck with that. Chances are that someone like me denting you car will be the least of your worries.

Keep standing in the road amidst vehicular traffic.

You troubles will be over soon.

Against my better judgment, I’ll try to make it clear once more. If I am walking East, and you’re behind me, driving East, I get a walk sign and enter the crosswalk. You were driving behind me, going in the same direction - you have a green light to go forward (and yes, no pedestrians should be in that crosswalk), but when you instead decide to turn left, my legal right to be in THAT crosswalk supersedes any rights you think you have at that point. If you don’t understand that, you’ll soon be loosing you license, your money, and perhaps your freedom.

Yeah, all that.

Fact is if you are standing in the road when I have
clearance to proceed then higher laws precede vehicular laws.

Like the laws of physics.

Like the law of don’t put yourself in front of moving machinery.

The law of “WhumpThumpSplat”.

How about you just make sure to get out of the damn road?

You will likely get personally introduced to the law of WhumpThumpSplat when your in prison for vehicular assault or homicide. Now there’s a place where size matters and might makes right, so maybe you’ll like it there. Oh, wait, you won’t be safely behind the wheel of your large car. Oh well, better ask Mom to bring some KY jelly when she comes to visit you.

Fantasize to your little black heart’s content..
but standing in traffic is not going to make you a winner.

Roadkill, maybe.

Type slower. Walk faster. ;^)

These discussions get interesting. Every so often a good flame war breaks out between bicyclists and motorists. Makes for good popcorn concession sales. Like any good flame war, the participants are shooting past each other. If anybody actually got hit, it would stop.

You’ve probably just been playing too many video games. In the virtual world, you can run down pedestrians in a crosswalk without consequence. In the real world, game over.

Actually the car kicking event never happened. You have told that lie so many times you now believe it.

You are frothing at the mouth like something actually happened to you other than the daily trials of being a slow walking, gutless liar and coward.

Keep in mind boy that this is a country full of men like me who will not let you or any other liberal get away with damaging our property.

You will pay to fix anything you damage. An ass whuppin’ is completely up to you.

Yeah. That's kind of how standing around in traffic works too.
