When I think of all the artists, musicians, dancers, authors, and scientists to whom America granted asylum back during the Cold war, it makes me sad that now Americans are seeking asylum in RUSSIA.

Maybe he not in the same league in terms of intelligence and evil power, but with far superior technology, surveillance techniques, GPS, and a monstrous bureaucracy to do his bidding already in place.
Both Hitler and Stalin were able to murder multiple millions of innocent people WITHOUT computers, drones, satellites, or the Internet.

Apples and oranges. You are comparing a guy who has killed millions to a guy who has just (as horrible as it is) has just taken away rights. Not murdered millions.

The point I am trying to make is that he can do it with much less effort that either Hitler or Stalin because of today’s technology.
And the utter compliance and complacency of those who could put a stop to it.
There was a time in the dim past when neither Hitler nor Stalin had killed anybody. They had to start somewhere. Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if someone had seen their potential before allowing it to happen as it did.
