In an unprecedented move, police on Wednesday informed Jewish groups that the Temple Mount will be closed to all non-Muslims until at least the end of Ramadan, on 11th August. The announcement has provoked renewed anger over anti-Jewish discrimination on the Temple Mount, and sparked calls by activists for a mass-protest on 7th August, at the start of the Hebrew month of Elul.
Temple Mount activists had complained that for the past three days the Temple Mountthe holiest place in Judaismremained inexplicably closed to non-Muslim visitors. The only explanation offered was a bland sign which simply read Today the Temple Mount will be closed to visitors.
Those restrictions did not, however, apply to Muslim visitors, who continue to receive unrestricted access.
Rabbi (Chaim) Richman (of the Temple Institute) accused the government of having surrendered sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
By granting the Jordanian-run Waqf free rein on the site, even acquiescing to their demands to ban Jews from ascending, the State of Israel has effectively abandoned the Temple Mount altogether.

They simply asked if I'm a Muslim, and of course I answered honestly.
No, the Abomination mentioned in Daniel and three of the Gospels has not come yet. That comes in a time when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies (Luke 21:20) and it spreads desolation over the whole planet.
Haha. It’s Ramadan now. So the Muslims are finally eating now.
Not the Liberal American Jew, I'm afraid...the Conservative ones are already outraged.
So on Jewish Holy Days do they close the Temple Mount to Muslims?
I thought not.
It’s the Temple Mount...It’s recorded in Scripture that David paid silver for Arunhah’s threshing floor where the Temple was located. That is a deed of trust...it does not belong to the Muslims...open it up!

I thought all non-Jews were Gentiles. Jesus spoke of two main groups of people: the Jews and the Gentiles.
Jews and Arabs are related (through Ishmael - Abrahams firstborn). I thought they had a different name for them but it escapes me at the time. YMMV
Jews are from one tribe of Israel, that being the tribe of Judah (although in the case of Judah/Judaea, the tribes of Levi and Benjamin are included). Jesus also spoke of the “lost sheep of the House of Israel” in Matthew 15:24; this is a reference to the lost ten tribes that never returned to the land of Israel after the Assyrians removed them and they were “sifted” among all the nations (Amos 9:9).
"Gentiles" is merely a word for non-Jews (it means "nations," which comes from the Hebrew word goyim).
There is `Am Yisra'el (the Jewish People) and goyei ha'aretz (the nations of the earth).
So yes, technically all non-Jews, even the Semites, are gentiles.
American chrstians simply do not understand that the State founded in 1948 is a secular state. Herzl's movement was a secular nationalist movement essentially no different than Irish Republicanism or other nineteenth century European nationalist movements. Rabbi Me'ir Kahana' (zt"l, Hy"d) described their goal as a "Hebrew-speaking Portugal."
A western-style parliamentary government is not kosher. It is alien to Judaism. Most of Israel's politicians, regardless of whether they are left wing or right wing, are secular. The national religious camp (religious Zionists) do stand up to the government when it wants to evict Jews from various places but apparently there aren't enough of them to outvote the perverts in Tel 'Aviv.
Don't look to any Israeli politician to have any guts. They can't even invoke G-d in their defense of Israel's right to exist!
The eighteenth century "enlightenment" really did a number on many Jews. Some of them think Judaism is all about "democracy" and "tolerance." That's why their national narrative begins with Poland rather than Adam and Eve.
Dear Leader has forces on both sides of Israel right now. ???
Yep...they are. I did some research month’s ago. I thought the same as you did. Actually, it was during the Arab Spring and my mind wondered if they were considered Gentiles.
Jerusalem, not Israel.
EBH, please answer this question.
Disregard. I see you did answer here in #34. Thanks.
