One middle period quartet from Beethoven has a wild fugue for a finale. The viola sets the pace, and the metronome marking for this finale is absolutely insane. At 5:17 he drop kicks the melody off the cliff, and you lean forward waiting for it to go splat. Its one of his greatest endings.
