Ditto on your critique of the bands... never cared for Poison.

Only 27 years since 17? You're just a young whippersnapper!! /smile

The kid is 17 but if he did the crime he ought to be on our death row.

Considering that he has been head shot and transported to John Petersmith Hospital he might already be there.

LOL.

On a more serious note, it appears there were some leads in the case but the police were tight-lipped about it and we didn't have the local news people blabbering on and on with speculation and guesses. Quite unlike another situation of national prominence of late.

Aside from the heavy metal rock & roll music and the shoot ‘em up video games, he also admits to smoking the marijuana and drinking!

The writing was on the wall.

He is and always has been a thug.

17 is old enough to get the death penalty in Texas.

Any chance of hearing from Jesse Jackass and Al Sharpie?

I'll go out on a limb here and guess "No".

They’ll find porn as well.

Bored porners are dangerous.

Some people are just evil. One can argue whether they are born that way or become that way, but evil exists. I don’t care what games he played or music he liked, he is evil and only God can change that.

Bad news, the people around him should have seen that he was homicidal.

Lots of kids enjoy gaming and various types of music but that does not make them homicidal maniacs, though I'm sure more news will come out about what he was really like.

Thanks for the confirmation. I suspected 17 might be old enough but was not sure.

Well, you’ve described probably about 20-30% of teenagers, and they certainly aren’t all homicidal.

That remains to be seen.
Personally? I would place my bets on the other 70-80%.

I thought our Masters on SCOTUS decreed that crimes committed prior to Birthday 18 are not capital crimes.

Same here...except I don't like KISS in addition to Poison. So if we are gamers that like Metal we are automatically suspected of being homicidal? I would be willing to bet the overwhelming majority of murders are caused by non-gamers that are into hip-hop.

not to diminish the tragedy, but “two shot in Saginaw” could be a song.

Yeah, I was wondering, as well, about how they got the DNA.

53 years ago I passed 17, I remember it (rather vaguely), but still...

I was driving a red & white 1956 Chevy w/ 6 in a row and dating what turned out to be my ex-wife. I was out of college with two degrees before the first Moon landing. Would I change things if I could? Probably not...

Regards,
GtG

I was driving a 1966 Nova SS at the ripe old age of 17. The guy who bought it from me after I went into the service still has it, but everyone in my hometown still calls it my Nova. He's had it for about 25 years now. I only had it for 3.

I did all those things, except for the shoot ‘em up games. But I did play Asteroids and Donkey Kong as often as I could. Was I a thug? People that know me would laugh out loud at that suggestion.

Not only Heavy Metal and violent video games, but alcohol and drugs.

His profile is chilling.
