MSNBC’s Michael Eric Dyson blames racism for Detroit bankruptcy

Pawn Stars, at least, seems to feature real customers that have been scripted and then rehearsed. Hard Core Pawn seems like it is outright faked.

Yep. I agree on both counts. But we should be able to come up with something more effective than we have now. I mean, do we have any counter in place whatsoever? I don’t see any evidence of one.

Read up on Monica Conyers a bit. What a piece of.....work. Her Wiki page is interesting. Seems at least she's somewhat of an equal opportunity boar. She argues with everyone. On the flip side, seems it's her opinion that "blacks cannot be racist".. Really?

Seems Dyson is absolutely correct that racism ruined Detroit. d:^)

I know all about Monica and John Conyers. I only live about 70 miles down the road and keep close tabs on Detroit.

There are a lot of good folks in Detroit but they are completely powerless against a thoroughly corrupt city government. Hopefully the indictments will continue.

BS; its ringed by surburban white areas because you ran them out with high crime and the destruction of your neighborhoods because its easier to get a nice set of wheels to hunt for booty calls than it is to keep your homes maintained. If we’re going to get real about it, lets get real instead of lyingabout it to make yourself look good and pry more money from whitey’s fingers.

Yes, heard the same thing about Pawn Stars. There are videos on youtube of the place. Those staff/management aren’t there and neither are the crowds of customers like you see on the show.

Having said that, I still watch it ‘cause of the fascinating stuff that they have sometimes.
