Englewood Fire Chief, Gerald Marion says he's, 'fed up' with seemingly endless stories of blacks being killed by whites with little or no repercussions.
Gerald Marion has spent his career fighting fires, not racial injustice. The lifelong Englewood resident rose through the ranks and became the city’s second black fire chief, earning a reputation as a calm, steadfast advocate for his department who stayed out of the political fray. But Marion reached a breaking point on Saturday, when a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager, during a confrontation in a gated community. The chief entered the racially charged controversy surrounding the verdict this week, when he asked the City Council to boycott businesses in Florida and other states with “stand-your-ground” laws, which eliminate the legal requirement to retreat before people can defend themselves — with deadly force if necessary — if they believe someone is trying to kill or seriously harm them. “I’ve never been an activist,” the 46-year-old said. “I’m fed up. It should not be a law that you get to murder because you’re uncomfortable.” Marion, a firefighter for 24 years, said stand-your-ground laws disproportionately affect blacks, especially when law enforcement and others assume black youths have criminal intent while white youths get the benefit of the doubt. “We read the news every day and you’re always coming across a story … an African-American gets shot because the shooter was threatened by their presence or the shooter was reacting to a stereotype,” he said. “It could be me. It could be my son. It could be my nephew.” Marion may be the first public official in Bergen County, if not New Jersey, to ask a local government to shun Florida businesses in the wake of the verdict.....

Trayvon was trying to make Zimmerman "comfortable". He tried to explain as gently as he could to Zimmerman, that Zimmerman was going to die. And he had him in a lying down position and was trying hard to make Zimmerman unconscious.

Well guess what Gerald Marion, I’m fed up with the even more endless string of stories which the media refuses to report, of blacks killing and raping whites. Do Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome ring a bell? Bailey O’Neill? Autumn Pasquale? Eve Carson? Anne Presley? Brittany Watts? Heather Muller?
I thought not. And I could list dozens more, like the elderly women in the past few months who were raped by black “yoots”, one of them also murdered, her husband beat and hospitalised.
Every one of these vicitms might be alive today if they’d been armed and carrying when attacked.
But of course you’d like to disarm whites, because they might have to shoot and kill some b lack “youth” attempting to beat, murder, or rape them. And that would be a shame, wouldn’t it, to deny black youths their snivel rights to attack, kill, and rape white victims.
Screw you azzhole. I wish every white prey was able to stop their black attacker, if that meant shooting to kill, so much the better. It’s not as if we have recourse to a fair justice system, or at least half of these would have been charged as “hate crimes”. And the media would give crimes such as the torture/murder of Christian/Newsome the same attention they’d have given such a sadistic crime if the races had been reversed.
What business would this minor functionary trough feeder have to do with any other entity?
It’s amazing that some negro Americans (not African-Americans as the NAACP and others wish them to be referred )want us to forget as to what race this phony president belongs.

Cut the guy some slack. It’s entirely possible that he’s never heard, or read, about TM physically attacking GZ. He may not have ever heard about any kind of physical altercation at all.
The comments below the linked story are all from people who have the facts wrong and a axe to grind. There is no recognition of the fact that TM broke GZ nose (proven by defense pathologist) and hit his head at least 4 and probably 6 or more times against the concrete hard enough to split his skin. TM was reported by several witnesses to have left the scene and came back to confront GZ. How these logically challenged folks still bellow about GZ ambushing and shooting a black child I just don’t get. All emotion and no reasoning ability. This is at the door of all the people who stoked entitlement and racial hatred to use blacks as a tool for power. The big O is right there with his beer summit and false sympathy. Race relations are worse than before the civil rights movement but true discrimination hampering blacks is nonexistent. The reverse is very real though. We need to get America back on track for all Americans!

I’m glad he’s not the fire chief in my town, I’d have to worry that he only got the position through affirmative action after scoring lower than white candidates, and was therefore unqualified to save my life or that of my family.

I don’t care what new name they’re demanding to be known by, since they change it every other decade as a sheer power play and show of muscle. I’m white, they’re black, and that’s all there is to it.
