Radio personality Tom Joyner has offered Rachel Jeantel, the friend of Trayvon Martin who spoke to him shortly before he died, a full scholarship to any Historically Black College or University she chooses. The website Joyner founded, BlackAmericaWeb.com, confirmed the news. Jeantel spoke to Joyner on his radio show Tuesday morning.
He said to her: "If you want to graduate from high school, and go to an HBCU, even if it’s not in Florida but especially Florida,like Florida Memorial, Edward Waters or FAMU, if you want to do that, I want to help you do that. I will help you get tutors to get you out of high school, tutors to help you pass the SAT and I will give you a full ride scholarship to any HBCU you’d like."
Joyner said he was moved by Jeantel's testimony. The funding for the scholarship will come from the Tom Joyner Foundation.
Jeantel reluctantly took the stand to testify for the prosecution in the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman. She told the courtroom that she heard Martin say "get off, get off" before the call cut out and Zimmerman shot him. During her testimony, which spanned two days, she was mocked online by people insulting her dress, mannerisms, and intelligence.
Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges on Saturday.

Amazing, why stop there, she could get a professorship at Columbia. She’s going to make it big $$$$ time for her participation in the trial. Wait till she gets that 1M offer from Larry Flindt.
The odds of her actually taking him up on the offer are ZERO.
She can’t even speak English and she can’t write it or read it. She knows how to watch “First 48” on TV and talk on a cell phone.
Even “Historically Black Colleges and Universities” have at least some standards. Even if she were accepted, the odds that she could finish the first quarter are less than Zero.
When she departs Miami and arrives at her black college, the average IQ OF BOTH COMMUNITIES will simultaneously rise.
A Black College is the only kind she could ever graduate from. Unless she took Black Studies, and played football.
She would be a prime candidate for a medium to high level government job.
Offering a tube of Vagisil a college education would have a better outcome.
If she can’t get through HS, how the heck can she get through college?
I have always been taught that you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken sh!t.
This might be a disppointing and expensive lesson for Mr. Joyner. Ask Jesse jackson how Duke Lacrossse Players lying accuser Crystal Magnum’s college career turned out.

Seriously, he should modify his offer to pay for vocational training and remedial classes. Otherwise, he’s just mouthing off on something he’s not likely to ever have to put up for.
Hope I’m wrong and Jeantel can actually take him up on this. But it just strikes me as an insincere publicity stunt.
