Black Americans paid much closer attention to George Zimmerman's trial than white Americans did, according to a new survey from the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.
It wasn't difficult to follow the murder case against Zimmerman, who shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., in February 2012: News coverage of the trial was almost ubiquitous in its closing days.
But not everbody took advantage. Fifty-six percent of the blacks surveyed said they followed the trial "very closely," compared to 20% of whites. The telephone survey of 1,002 adults was taken July 11 to July 14. The six-woman jury returned a not-guilty verdict for Zimmerman on July 13.....

“They watched it on Black and Whitey TV”
Waiting for the race pimps to announce the starting times for the St.Trayvon memorial ghettoolympics.
Baloney...
They heard and saw what they wanted. Not necessarily the facts.
This I know for a fact: The people who watched this farce every day were able to do so because they did not have a job to attend to.
I don't think thats the case here. Their investment was purely emotional.
They key is that they “said” they followed it closely. It doesn’t mean they actually read any articles or watched any of the trial, just that they are more likely to claim that they followed the case closely.
If true, then it is truly stunning how weak are their abilities to comprehend facts.
OF course, it also depends on the sources—because from the perspective of knowing the trial and ALSO seeing how some of the local Miami media covered it, I can really see how some people would have been led to think the prosecution was winning...the media talked like they were.
But anyone with a brain who watched the entire thing came away with a different perspective.
“Apparently, following closely means not following at all.”
That seems to be the standard by which they claim Zimmerman was “following” Martin.
This could be a reason they’re not able to conjure the will for all out riots again. Deep inside, they have they’re own considerable doubt.
Tru dat
The article didn’t mention that sheeples’ feel for if Zimmerman was guilty or not probably depended on what “news” agency sheeple followed the trial through.
Following = getting the “details” via MSNBC or black talk radio.
I want to know where they all got the idea Zimmerman was told to stay in his car. Everybody seems to believe that and I do mean everybody. It’s no wonder nobody understands the verdict.
I want to know where these blacks were getting their “news”, because all of it is incorrect.
They were more persuaded by the emotional presentation of the prosecution. Forget the facts. Forget the fact that anyone of them if on the ground being beaten silly by a Trayvon would have done the same thing.
Well, there is “followed” and then there is actually watched.
.
Well, if I mention the trial here in North Texas, rather a lot of people don’t even know who a Trayvon or a Zimmerman is. People tend to go about their lives and ignore things they should know.
All the sensationalized trials of the last couple decades have produced a sort of burnout. Much as the soap operas ran their course and reality shows ran their course...people to a large extent have lost interest.
Zimmerman is half white, his dad is a white guy, and apparently “we” are involved because this is about corruption of government and Obama along with Holder abusing power yet again.
Yet that corrupt pig of a woman is still calling Zimmerman a murderer after his acquittal.
Thanks for the laugh!
It didn’t say anything about comprehension.
Hell, half of the 'protestors' on the street are still yelling "Free Trayvon!"
