I think there is a lot more required to prove slander or libel than just an arguably false statement. In general you're right but this woman is State Attorney. I hope a lawyer digs into this. I have a hunch it's a serious breach of ethics if not overreach that could result in impeachment or disbarment.

What's arguable about it?
Why is it that before the trial he has to be called an alleged murderer, but after his acquittal he's a full-fledged murderer?
