The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if were doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if were doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, thats a job for all of us. Thats the way to honor Trayvon Martin."

I would have loved to had met John Adams.
You are mistaken.
Lead Detective Chris Serino filed an affidavit with Sanford prosecutors recommending a Manslaughter charge.
The Prosecutors declined to charge Zimmerman.
NOT the Police Department.
The left should realize if the “racist” word suddenly no longer works all hell is going to break loose.
Good post!
In your dreams where you honor thuggery, BO!
I will honor the innocent man who the thugs and racist biggots tried to destroy but for the grace of God and an honest jury who were NOT tricked by all the LIES the gov't, media and biggots threw at them.
President Obama wants you to honor Trayvon Martin.
Everything I read about the case said the Special Prosecutor charged Z after pressure from the pro Trayvon
crowd.
.
Yes, but in Florida he would have Bonded out and went in front of grand jury and it would have been over. But our pos politicians got involved along with the perpetually agreaved.
yea...what about the deaths (in your so called hometown) chicago...blah blah horsesh*t blah!!!
Yup.
I have read the affidavit Chris Serino filed with Sanford prosecutors.
Serino literally recommended a Manslaughter charge against Zimmerman.
If you claim that Serino has NO CHOICE but to recommend a Manslaughter charge, well, I have no legal knowledge to dispute that.
But, to my ear, that sounds absurd.
“The Conservative Tree House” has (or had) the affidavit in its in archives, if you want to read it for yourself.
Thuggery.
Serino recommended Manslaughter to the Sanford prosecutors.
The local prosecutors said “No Way,” and declined to prosecute.
State prosecutors and the Governor stepped in after that.
FUBO
And the Chief told him 'no' because there was no evidence. And that's why he was fired. So they brought in those who could be pressured. And then they failed to bring it to the Grand Jury but went right for a trial. Now the 'fired' chief can hold his head up proud and live with himself for not giving into those who pressured him as he stood firm in his 'no'. And he was right and his community now has a nice bill for this bogus trial because of 'outside political interference'.
The only thing I dispute is that many people on this thread are claiming that the Sanford PD did not want to put Zimmerman in jail.
That is incorrect.
Lead Detective Serino recommended a Manslaughter charge against Zimmerman.
Sanford prosecutors said “NO.”
Give the man a cigar. The blame for this lands squarely on AG Pam Bondi and Governor Rick Scott. Two Rinos.
You are correct.
Thanks for sharing John Adams, words. When men were men and when America was America and citizens were patriots and didn’t live in fear of an enemy.
Very sick. I don't know one thing about this kid who is dead. He may very well have not been a bad kid, maybe just kid who made the classic mistake of hanging with the wrong peers. No one is reveling in his death. An American father and mother lost a child, who could be happy in that. The sermonizing from this demon possessed reprobate Obama, I don't even listen to him anymore. The way to honor him is to tell black fathers to support their kids, for black women to keep their knees together, for the black community to stop waiting around on their caboose and waiting for change to happen to them.
