You are mistaken.

Lead Detective Chris Serino filed an affidavit with Sanford prosecutors recommending a Manslaughter charge.

The Prosecutors declined to charge Zimmerman.

NOT the Police Department.

Yes, but in Florida he would have Bonded out and went in front of grand jury and it would have been over. But our pos politicians got involved along with the perpetually agreaved.

And the Chief told him 'no' because there was no evidence. And that's why he was fired. So they brought in those who could be pressured. And then they failed to bring it to the Grand Jury but went right for a trial. Now the 'fired' chief can hold his head up proud and live with himself for not giving into those who pressured him as he stood firm in his 'no'. And he was right and his community now has a nice bill for this bogus trial because of 'outside political interference'.
