Some MSNBC comments Juries need to be balanced by race That's one of the themes on a local Miami station. It's not the jury, though. The prosecution had no case.

Hey, Uncle Chip, just wanted to tank a moment to thank you for all the work you have done on this matter.
Your threads have kept me well more informed than watching any media on this, so I thank you sincerely, sir.
Also wanted to congratulate George Zimmerman, and say get in an armored truck with armed escort and go as far away from here as you can.
I wanted to further thank the 6 women of the jury for seeing that justice was served in this matter, as opposed to racism being served.
I honestly did not expect this outcome. I am surprised and shocked.
My hat is off to the members of this jury. Stay safe.

It’s not the Judge that decides; it’s the Jury. the judge allowed for a verdict of manslaughter even though he had never been charged with manslaughter. The request came from the prosecution as a last gasp to please Soetoro. A ruling of guilty of manslaughter would have been the judge's verdict.
