I know I'm late and using an early post, but...
I saw Rivera talking to Laura Ingraham on O'Reilly's Friday show, and I wondered why nobody prominent in the Hispanic community has stood up to "speak" for Hispanics about how Zimmerman's rights are being treated.
I know that Rivera had let it be known that he was "considering" a run for the open Senate seat in New Jersey. Is that enough of a CV to give Rivera a platform to speak for Hispanics-at-large, the way the Jackson and Sharpton speak for Blacks?
I wonder why Rivera has been muted about this. He's usually rabid about the killing of blacks in crimes, or the treatment of Blacks in crimes. He must be having a Liberal Crisis over this. He does believe Zimmerman's side of the story, but he's not willing to up the ante and act as a Voice For Hispanics, in order to fill the void.

I am wondering if the copious not taking jurror is doing a “do it yourself” lawyering scenario. She is off in la la land on a tangent and not focusing on the instructions, self defense disproving burden on the state.
I have nothing other than speculation to wonder that the long deliberation is looking for a way to find “somebody to pay” who is still alive.

I would think that Obama, the DOJ and the rest of the race hustlers are counting on it, as well as juror concerns about their personal wellbeing and that of their families if they vote not guilty.

That is an accurate description of the danger of a conviction as well as destroying Z’s life.

Pity, but my understanding re these public scanner feeds is that when/if things start to go truly sideways, they're required to switch to a non-streaming channel, so that may be the last heard of it.

Its OK..I guess you can say I am cautiously optimistic..but if he’s found guilty I guess I wouldnt be surprised either..it can go either way. I have learned a long time ago never trust juries, you can think they go one way and they go the exact opposite..Angela Corey is a scumbag, I had no idea who she was before this, but her railroading Zimmerman just to score political points with the left was absolutely disgusting

I’ve been wondering about this, Uncle. So, IOW, this would have been information/FL law that def was aware of, so the talk of their being blindsided on the manslaughter charge (ie not being able to defend against it ‘cuz it wasn’t in original charges) is incorrect....?? TIA
when MOM showed the picture of Martin as he was just before the incident did anyone see the jurors reactions? any observation reports?
CNN is reporting two of the jurors were crying during the state rebuttal. (the paid observer for CNN who is in a wheelchair.)
Just came in and turned on FOX they are live on trial with scrolling “Alert”.
Did I miss something? Is the verdict in?
My understanding is that the charge the defense felt blindsided by was the 3rd Degree Murder / Child Abuse charge that the prosecutors dropped on them at 0730 the day of Jury Instructions. Fortunately, Judge Nastycakes didn't let that charge in.

They will learned it will cost them more being dishonest. The pleasure of sin only last for a time but in the end cost them more than they are willing or able to pay. Its just the way it is.
Lesser included offenses are common in most jurisdictions. In some states, the state has the option of having them removed, in others it’s a defense option. The offenses have to arise from the same incident, and the same set of facts, so the defendent’s on notice from the start.
The Judge may toss in any lesser included offense. The Judge has the discretion to do this even of one side or other objects.
