I am wondering if the copious not taking jurror is doing a “do it yourself” lawyering scenario. She is off in la la land on a tangent and not focusing on the instructions, self defense disproving burden on the state.

I have nothing other than speculation to wonder that the long deliberation is looking for a way to find “somebody to pay” who is still alive.

I served on a jury a couple of years ago with just such a person. As soon as the door closed she ditched the judge’s instructions to focus solely on the evidence presented, and began speculating, inserting her own (imaginary) details regarding what actually happened, and repeatedly stated (in regard to the defendant), “I feel so baaaad for him!”. I think it’s unfortunate that the Zimmerman jury is comprised solely of women (although considering the background of some of the jurors, I think there’s good reason to hope for a hung jury at least).
