It seems those second guessing O’Mara’s closing think he was not forceful enough. I think his closing was brilliant and that he holds the advantage over all of us, because he “knows” the jury, in that he’s seen their reactions to evidence and the lawyers every day.

My barber is a gun owner (probably real middle of the road voter) and yesterday I asked him what he thought about the trial and I was surprised he thought GZ is guilty, although not sure if beyond a reasonable doubt.
Every time I go in there, his tv is on to the local news so not totally surprising where he got his opinion from.
Ha! I’ve not watched her enough to know. I’ll try and take notice now. :p

Here's on from Tennessee. I was actually on the jury panel for this one. Appeal decision brings in the concept of the Judge as the 13th juror.

There is a reason for the reputation.. it’s true. Maybe not on a case-by-case basis but as a whole, women tend to let their emotions get in the way of rational decision making which is why they have jury consultants that recommend picking women for cases where they feel that emotion and heartstring can be tugged easier.
But I’m sure what I just wrote will be ignored and attacked.

But O’Mara and West personally SELECTED these 6 women, most of whom either own guns or have a husband or family member with one. One lady even has a conceal carry permit.
But O’Mara selected them.
