The two that are glaringly obvious to me as a layman and I’m sure to everyone else are:
1) Excluding cell phone evidence for the wrong reason
2) Denying the VOA motion after the persecution rested

As West pointed out, the state charged his client with Murder 2 not Manslaughter. Let them prove Murder2 and if they can’t then that’s too bad.
Frankly I think the defendant should have to consent to the consideration of a lesser charge rather than it being thrust upon him at the jury instruction stage.

I tuned into Shepherd Smith recently, after being alerted to “breaking news”. Throughout the entire segment, a recent photo of Mr. Zimmerman and the very young Martin were displayed as a backdrop. I disliked Smith before, but I’ll never watch him again. You would think that at least one person in the media would honest and objective?!?!
This is an indictment on concealed carry and an excuse for Sharpton to get some headlines. The charges against Mr. Zimmerman should never have been brought.

I would recommend performing an immediate cranial-rectal extraction on yourself, then.
This isn’t just some sensational teevee celebrity trial.
It cuts to the heart of big government collusion to deprive of civil rights, big government corruption, 2nd amendment freedoms, concealed carry issues, self defense/castle doctrine issues...
Warrants a close conservative eye on it every bit as much as immigration.
A more important trial
There are two main themes: a man used a pistol to defend his life; the man who used the pistol lawfully is now under attack by a regime that has no regard for the rule of Law and every intention of exploiting the case and those racially motivated.
I mean they can’t even acquit of 2nd degree? It’s insane!! I like MOM but I don’t think he was mean enough about TM, and didn’t come out and say “My client is a good man”. Sure he had his hands tied with the TM text’s being thrown out, but if there is a hung jury at least the texts can come in on a second trial. Unfortunately, the state usually wins on a re-trial.
As inept as this prosecution was and with no evidence to support either charge of 2nd degree murder or manslaughter it’s clear a couple of these bubble heads are wanting to convict an innocent man.
I have to admit, putting bacon on top of meatloaf is a pretty awesome idea, too. I’ve never had a packet of bacon last past lunchtime in my house, so I don’t know if I’ll ever get a chance to try it....

Sickening. I think after this I’m done with FOX news, myself. They’re just as bad as the MSM.
There is no emergency that they will face in their deliberations that a good shrimp cocktail take care of.
When it is supposed to be a jury of your peers, why are six women judging two males? Since it was not the case here, what are our options as a society.

Critical thinking must be taught, and in today's NEA curriculum, self-esteem trumps strong analytical skills.
On the other hand, I'm sure this poor soul believes himself to be the smartest person in whatever room he enters.
