Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Yesterday the prosecution provide closing arguments (Summary: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/states-closing-argument-two-hours-of-raising-doubt).
Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

O’Mara told them told them towards the end of his closing that if they thought Zimmerman might have been defending himself, they needed to find him not guilty based on that alone.
People can no longer take responsibility for protecting their neighborhood.

They will take a vote when they get in there in order to know what the score is to start with. If they all vote the same, they are done.
If there are two conscious souls on that jury the only two possible outcomes are acquittal or no verdict. Conscious souls are not herded by emotions when called upon to reason something out.
Unconscious souls on the other hand will succumb more often than not to emotion and not be able to find their way bby resoning things out.
The term “White-Hispanic” was invented for this case so they could get in their favorite narrative ... white man kills African-American.

The thing about emotion is that it can play many ways. For example, as a woman I can understand fully the loss of TM’s parents (regardless of their character). As a woman I can also look at GZ and see a completely innocent man. My emotional nature does not ruin my ability to see facts clearly. Too often conservative men dismiss emotion as weakness and that makes me cry. :-)

B29 was first presented to the court for preliminary voir dire on Day One of jury selection, June 10. She is a Hispanic nurse who works the night shift with Alzheimer’s patients. She was a resident of Chicago at the time of the shooting, having arrived in Seminole county only four months prior to the start of the trial. This relatively recent arrival to the area is part of the explanation for why she says she has “no idea” about the case. In addition, she explained, “I don’t like watching the news, period,” and “I don’t read any newspapers, don’t watch the news.” She also indicated that she didn’t tend to watch crime procedural programs, saying that she preferred to real world to “make believe.”

If the jury finds GZ guilty and sees the evidence that was not permitted in the courtroom...they’re gonna be sorry.
