Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

I kept getting irritated throughout trial, because he wouldn’t bust them when they went on their rants. The wisdom of that is now evident, he saved calling on it for the close.
Did he tell the jury “try it for yourselves” in referencing if the gun could be reached from the positions they were in?
I thought a jury could only consider facts in evidence and not make up their own evidence? Is a jury allowed to make up evidence?
So now prosecution acknowledges that GZ received wounds, but is minimizing them.
Staring down at concrete......it’s heavy, it’s hard and walks away......lol
Mark and West sure anticipated where the prosecutors had to come from. And Mark put up an impenetratable concrete wall in his presentation.

No. I think this jury will purposely wait a day or so to bring back a verdict.

About the lack of blood on TM’s hands after holding GZ’s mouth and nose to shut him up... Do we know from testimony that GZ’s bloody nose happened BEFORE the “hand-over-mouth” move from TM?

MOM did cut that off at the pass in his closing, urging them not to decide the case on emotion.
Honestly, all the chatter about women and emotion, those who make those claims forget one vital point. It’s insulting to women to be treated as a 2nd class citizen that ONLY relies on emotion. We actually do have a brain!

I’ve thought this so many times. I know you can’t always control what your kids so, but I’ve thought myself if he was raised to be a self respecting young man and taught to respect others instead of being gangsta, he would still be alive today.

Guy is trying to shed doubt on Defense’s version, while ignoring the fact that the burden of proof is on him.
Mr Guy is saying everything the defense said he would, if Guy was smart, at this point he would sit down and shut up.
