Carney to Reporter: 'Read the Federal Register, I Know That'd Be a Lot to Ask'
Weekly Standard ^ | 7/10/13

White House spokesman Jay Carney told a Fox News reporter to "read the Federal Register" in response to whether the president had the authority to change parts of the Obamacare law:

"The ability to postpone the deadline is clear," said Carney.

"I invite you to read the Federal Register," he said. "I know that'd be a lot to ask."

"You'll have to ask me?" the reporter said.

"Yes," said Carney, smirking. "Exactly."

I don’t know why the press corps doesn’t just grab this dink and dunk his head in a toilet.

Hussein himself is just a front man.

Why does he need a spokesperson?

Within a few hours, there will be plenty of weighin from folks who have read the federal register, and they will be suggesting that Carney is full of bowlsheet.

"During the period of royal absolutism, English monarchs asserted a right to dispense with parliamentary statutes they disliked. King James II's use of the prerogative was a key grievance that lead to the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The very first provision of the English Bill of Rights of 1689—the most important precursor to the U.S. Constitution—declared that "the pretended power of suspending of laws, or the execution of laws, by regal authority, without consent of parliament, is illegal."

To make sure that American presidents could not resurrect a similar prerogative, the Framers of the Constitution made the faithful enforcement of the law a constitutional duty."

Would it be a lot to ask if Obama has read all of the Obamacare law?

That’s what liars, poltroons, and rumpswabs do - throw chum in the water to evade the truth.

A simple; “Would YOU explain it to me?” would have been a nice follow up. I’m sure other Freepers will have better, funnier follow-ups. I’m just not feeling too funny right now.

When Obama met with Paul Ryan for a health care “summit”, it was obvious that Ryan knew what was in the proposal for Obamacare, and Obama did not. He went point by point detailing how Obamacare was unworkable. Ryan was using scare tactics to kill the plan. That’s what Obama said. Who is being proven right now, Mr. Carney?

This is another arrogant dismissal of a reasonable Media question. And the Pussy Press does nothing about it.
Are Mr. Carney and Mr. Obama obvious liars?
