A controversial Internet talk show host was arrested at his home in Herndon on Tuesday night after a videotaped July 4 stunt in which he loaded a shotgun in the Districts Freedom Plaza a violation of the citys gun laws.
Information about the arrest of Adam Kokesh was posted on his blog late Tuesday night. The Herndon Police Department confirmed Wednesday that Mr. Kokesh was arrested on a federal warrant but could not provide information about the nature of the charges.
Video of the infraction. (Warning some profanity)

I wish he just brought a 30 round magazine. That would have been more poetic and a real poke in the eye of David Gregory.
“I wish he just brought a 30 round magazine.”
Exactly! He should have made the point of how easy it is to break DC gun laws and confronted the DC police refusing to charge David Gregory. Loading a shotgun is a relatively aggressive act in any jurisdiction and doesn’t get him any sympathy.
From what I’ve heard, no is completely positive that this guy isn’t secretly a leftist anyway.
you would think if he ‘expected them to come’ you would have hid your stash a little better, or just got it out of your house. He went from a gun charge that he could have got a lot of people to help him avoid, to a drug charge that is going to make his cause poison to a large group of conservatives, to having a firearm and drugs which is a whole other charge. He should have thought his plan through a little better, enjoy your stay in prison, you will probably be there awhile.
He ran for office in New Mexico, he is a complete flaming moonbat.
I have an honest question, and this might be a reasonable news thread in which to ask it:
The 2nd Amendment, in my view, implies that the right of the public to bear arms constitutes a threat against the government against tyrannical power.
At what point can that right be exercised, and what can that right of threat look like while being exercised? Should we insist that we have a right to remove government official by force, for instance?
Here we have someone arrested merely for loading a shotgun. Does the acceptance of such an arrest blunt the actual purpose behind the 2nd amendment?

Up until WWII, the people possessed superior force. Roosevelt dealt a deathblow to that power in 1944, at Yalta. By empowering the Soviet Union as an enemy, the national government instituted a massive standing army. Since that time, the ACLU has enlarged police power via the courts. Hence your question.
I don’t fear the “standing army”....I fear the unionized para-militarized law enforcement agencies and their assorted tanks, billions of rounds of ammo, and NSA spy suite.
The Army/Marines are the least of worries and might actually prove to be a check against the numerous 3 letter agencies.
Shock troops. Both are bad.
When can we detain a government official?
Anytime you have the numbers and feel skippy enough. It is our God given right outlined in our founding documents to over turn this out of control government. That are very frightened and we out number them a million to one.
Ask yourself how many FEDs and LEOs are there and how many of us. Our shear numbers spook them into intimidation.
Yep. Leftist bomb thrower masquerading as a self appointed Tea Party patriot.
I appreciate the responses. My fear, of course, is that we’ve all grown too complacent to generate the numbers that would be required. The coup in Egypt actually started my thinking about what might be necessary. I suppose that answer is the point at which the fear of continuing down the slope exceeds the fear of risk.
There are few logistical preparations, no secure communications channels, there is no command structure, and no practice as an organized community of patriots. This despite the fact that we were instructed to do so over 3,000 years ago.
“My fear, of course, is that weve all grown too complacent to generate the numbers that would be required.”
Perhaps initially, but once the masses see the government as abusing their families and neighbors, the collapse will be quick.
Police officers will begin to refuse orders or quit altogether, once they and their kin start being executed on the streets when off duty getting gas, donuts, etc.
Same for bureaucrats and other armed alphabet government agents — there will be no “off duty” time for them as they will be hunted like dogs in their own towns.
They will have to use the FEMA camp/Fusion center buildings as their own home to be safe from the citizenry. Those prisons they are building will be the only place they are safe.
Nothing good will come of this for any side.
W in TF????
An ad for Amana lending, a Sharia compliant fund. Ridiculous. The women were in subserviant coverings.
Thought the “ad” was some parody at first but, it continued and is just plain weird.
As to Kokesh, he’s an ass....
Done with all the verve, aplomb and synthetic anger of an activist for the other side attempting to co-opt our message.
Nice Try Madam Cokehead and I hope you were arrested on a felony.
The guy is smug punk but, what was the purpose of the warrant?
Were they specifically looking for those drugs?
