More than a parallel Supreme Court - more powerful, more sinister - Camera Stellata.
America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!
Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Remember how the Democrats in congress were constantly making an issue of the FISA court back during the Bush administration?
University librarians lined up to go on the record as refusing to cooperate with the “let us know if anyone is checking out lots of books on bomb making” provision.

I catch hell from my friends for not condemning Snowden. 5-6 years ago I would have. I have absolutely no faith in anything that the government says.

A secret court that rules in secret and only hears the government’s side.
This is why we are not a dictatorship. We have openness and accountability.

“Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, known as the FISA court”
I did not know this existed. How many of you reading this knew?

Maybe we can have a secret court for each of the other Amendments in the Bill of Rights.
Freedom of speech or religion? We’ve a secret court for that.
Second Amendment? We’ve a secret court for that.
All your rights have been revoked. Don’t like it? There’s a secret court for that.

FISA is a Supra Judicial system outside the purview of our traditional adversarial system.
They don’t convict anyone of crimes, attached to their so called purview and that should trouble anyone who understands what a Star Chamber Court does.
If they have not the power to convict then they are illegitimate.

"The official, like a half-dozen other current and former national security officials, discussed the courts rulings and the general trends they have established on the condition of anonymity because they are classified"
How are these "officials" any different from Snowden, given the classified information they are leaking? Will Obama (and everyone else who've been hammering Snowden) go after them and the NYT with the same gusto?

None of the requests from the intelligence agencies was denied, according to the court. Unaccountable rubber stamp star chamber, and it's scary as hell that the moron unicorn-chaser Diane Feinstein appears to be the principal "oversight" authority and that the FISA judges are regularly blowing her off and she's too stupid to realize it.

[FISA] has quietly become ALMOST A PARALLEL SUPREME COURT, serving as the ultimate arbiter on surveillance issues...Wait; I thought that was the NSA? OR the IRS? OR DHS? OR the CIA? Or the FBI? Or the Supreme Court? Or Der Fuhrer? OR *cough* Snowden and his surveillance subcontractor?
The echo of that cacophony of wailing laughter we hear is coming from the halls and chambers of Congress and the WH. The murmurs of *quiet, please* and *ssssssshhhhhhh* come from the media and the "Most transparent American Dictator and Politiburo in history."
