You are probably right, although bush was a heck of a campaigner. If he was the nominee in 2012, he might have pulled it off. He would have gotten out that base that sat home, like he did in 2004.

Better than Romney would have that’s for sure. For all his flaws, he at least understood where his base was located.

Horse Shiite. I know of no conservatives who stayed home. While it is true support for Romney was tepid at best, but there is no way I believe conservatives stayed home in the numbers oft stated here..
