George Bush’s birthday present: Higher approval rating than President Obama

11:11 pm on July 6, 2013 by Twitchy Staff

President George W. Bush’s 67th birthday passed quietly on Friday, but he did receive his share of well wishes on Twitter, along with one encouraging note from the folks at National Review. Despite continuing to shoulder the blame for just about every failure of the current administration, Bush currently enjoys a higher approval rating than President Obama.

There is much to praise and criticize about George W. Bush, but it’s hilarious, awesome, and more than a little surprising that he now has a higher approval rating than Mommy’s Little Man. That gives me a tiny bit of hope.

Happy Birthday, W.

BTW, how is that “compassionate conservative” BS working out for you?

Exactly. I’m afraid history isn’t going to be very kind to either of these guys, but I agree the former is much less bad than the later.

Unfortunately, if Bush ran against Soetoro he would probably still lose.

OK, so we should expect to see this headlined in the MSM soon, right? Right?

I guess that’s why he’s expected to be coming out in public in several days to endorse “fixing” the immigration system with amnesty.

From Breitbart....

Former President George W. Bush is expected to speak about immigration reform on Wednesday, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Bush will deliver opening remarks at an citizenship ceremony and immigration forum at the Dallas presidential center bearing his name, where it’s expected he will talk about how immigration reform will be good for America.

No thanks, W.

Dubya will figure out a way to help prop Obama up.

It’s guaranteed.

You are probably right, although bush was a heck of a campaigner. If he was the nominee in 2012, he might have pulled it off. He would have gotten out that base that sat home, like he did in 2004.

No thanks, W.

But letting in tens of millions of mescans is the "compassionate conservative" thing to do!

I second your "No, thanks, W."

Better than Romney would have that’s for sure. For all his flaws, he at least understood where his base was located.
