This Fourth of July weekend is turning into an unforseen laff-fest. Yesterday we had NBC featuring a photo of President Obama making what he might have thought was an assertive hand gesture while discussing the situation in Egypt with his aides.
Today treats us to historian Douglas Brinkley, on Morning Joe, claiming that when it comes to foreign policy, President Obama reminds him of, yes, Supreme-Allied-Commander-turned-President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
View the chuckle-worthy video here.

Bad Acid, apparently.
Ike had ALREADY saved the world prior to being elected:
Obama was elected on the premise that he WOULD save the world.
Actually I think he is the one who coined the term “military industrial complex” and warned against it.
That,or he was dropped on his head as an infant.
To borrow Mike Ditka’s response to the claim that Brian Bosworth would be the next Butkus: “He’s about as close to Ike as Snow White is.”
Lincoln and Wilson did more damage than all the other Presidents combined. Obama is no where near the worst. FDR and LBJ beat him, Obastard is on the Carter level. He is about 6 from the bottom. But we have 3 1/2 years to survive so who knows?
Yes, he did warn about it on the way out. One of the more cryptic things he ever said. Of course, he did NOT actually shrink the Military. Especially in favor of entitlements.
Maybe.
Maybe not...
Yes, Eisenhower warned against the “Military Industrial Complex.” There was a strong opinion growing in America that the U.S. needed to take out Communism/Soviet Union and Eisenhower didn’t seem to want that.
Ronald Reagan thankfully stepped up to the challenge where Eisenhower failed.
Obama reminds me of Huey Long.
Let’s run that up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes
Obama is not fit to kiss Eisenhower’s ass.
I would agree with this assessment
So this guy is a Kerry hagiographer? That explains much.
Osama Obama reminds me of many people, living and dead.People like Saul Alinsky,Bill Ayers,Ira Einhorn and Jerimiah Wright.President Bush Sr reminds me a bit of Ike...in a good way.Osama Obama reminds me a lot of Lee Harvey Oswald (his character, his politics,”Fair Play For Cuba”)...but Ike,not so much.
Obama reminds me of Eisenhower too, except that Ike was patriotic, Ike had real accomplishments, Ike was a natural born citizen both in the legal sense and in the sense that he valued traditional American values like freedom, Ike was intelligent, Ike was hard working, and Ike was essentially honest. Actually, that’s just a start on the list of differences - Obama has nothing in common with Ike beyond both living at the same address at some point in their lives.
“while obozo has no accomplishments, no record, no history of ANY accomplishment.”
I don’t know about that.
Obama was able to organize a nice reception/dinner for ACORN leadership and help get motor voter in IL “allowed”. Just think of the fraud that has accomplished in IL.
I understand that he also hosted/organized an enjoyable evening of laughs, drinks and fund raising with a pleasant couple of retired weather underground members. Here is a couple that literally was bombing government buildings changing their ways to actually work within the system to destroy the country. Imagine the work he had to do to get them to put down their C4 and pick up a ballot.
And don’t forget how he was ALWAYS able to clear the field of opponents when running for election himself. He was even able to pull that off in 2012 election via the IRS.
In fact, while in office he has accomplished more to discredit the US than any other President. So he is somewhat “able” to get somethings done.
The question is how long will it take to repair the damage this wonder child has accomplished?
Ike played golf and so does 0. That’s about all they have in common.
