Day 19 (Week #4) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 5, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 07/05/2013 4:54:41 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Today, July 5th, is DAY #19 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

The State is expected to wrap up their case today – A great recap of the trial so far is available HERE: The key witness today expected to be Sybrina Fulton, mom.

Great Expectations? Remember, as y’all have noted during the 15+ months of research, there is so much corruption in the assembly of this case we could expect the State to avoid the traditional witnesses brought by normal prosecutions. We have not been disappointed in our predictions. The state has already won a pre-trial motion to bar the defense mentioning the absence of any witness from the State’s case.

So it comes as no surprise, not a single State investigator has been called, not a single FBI officer, only one local investigative detective, Chris Serino (who supported the defense), and now the profound possibility they won’t even present the Seminole County Medical Examiner. So has the State actually even proven that Trayvon is indeed, deceased? Without the M.E. the ballistics are essentially moot – where did the aforementioned bullet come from? They have not established it came from Trayvon’s body. Think about it.

Because of pre-trial ‘motions in limine’ to exclude the defense bringing it up, O’Mara cannot mention it. Would/Will the jurors notice a missing M.E. = Trayvon blood tox. etc?

Yes, and I should have added that there's nothing illegal about strapping on a gun and following suspicious persons into dark places. Of course, there's nothing illegal about doing a motorcycle wheelie off of the roof into the spa.

I don't want people I care about doing it, though. And, if they really must, I want them to get some training first.

Zimmerman's life has been devastated by the choices he made that night. Just take a good look at him and his circumstances.

Not good.

Case will become another reason for taking away our guns.

GZ was going to the store. But have we heard to which store and for what? It can easily go to why he is/was carrying.

Sounds like you might be describing Sunny Hostin, the one on the right in the pic.

She seems intelligent enough all right, just hopelessly biased against the defense to the point of looking very foolish. She usually shares the panel with Mark Geragos who never misses an opportunity to point out just how wrong she is.

I kind of remember hearing the OJ jurors looking away from him too though. One thing that gives me hope is that the jury preferred to hear from the first defense witness vs stopping for the weekend.

If she refuses after the ME said there was a toxicology report means yet another reversal for this judge.

If an appeal is needed, I hope the 5th takes it expidited, reverses, requires a new judge and directs the FL bar to investigate corey&rao as well as the judge.

Thanks. I was hoping there would be some potential consequence. It certainly appears she wants this to be St. Trayvon vs Evil George.

Zimmerman's life has been devastated by the choices he made that night. Just take a good look at him and his circumstances.

He'll have to live with the knowledge he killed somebody. That's bad in every case of justifiable homicide. But if there is devastation in Zimmerman's life, it's because of people like you who believe he should have stayed at home, cowering under the bed. It's because this was blown out of proportion by people like Al Sharpton, Pam Bondi, that Corey woman, etc.

You seem to think George Zimmerman caused all those people to align against him and bring down the weight of the State. It's all his fault for doing something you admit is legal. If I follow your logic and advice, the lesson to be learned is we need to disarm and surrender to the property crime and thug violence that's getting worse. Let the Police handle it, right?

He was absolutely correct. IIRC, the Martin’s settled their lawsuit before the jury was picked. The idea that none of them knew is absurd. And right there...it says....GZ must be guilty if the insurance people paid off.

Thanks for this and the link.

The desire to paint an opposite picture is coming through loud and clear in the media and from what we are seeing presented in the courtroom regarding anything other than this is a self defense case.

Within minutes of deciding to follow a suspicious person into the dark, Zimmerman had his face smashed by a seventeen year old kid and his head repeatedly bashed into the sidewalk. Then, according to Zimmerman, the kid (who was beating Zimmerman to a pulp) came very close to killing Zimmerman with his Zimmerman's own gun.

Do you think Zimmerman might have benefited from some training? Do you think it might have made sense for Zimmerman to enlist some backup from his neighborhood watch buddies before he followed a suspect into a dark area?

He was lucky to have survived his adventure that night, but only to then face jail, a murder trial, financial disaster, death threats, etc. I suspect he has some regrets.

Do you think Zimmerman might have benefited from some training?

You must have missed the testimony from the two professors who had Zimmerman in their classes, and also the fact he had a CCW, which requires training and certification. I can understand your ignorance of that if you have an anti self-defense belief. I don't think any amount of "training" would get you to agree a man has a right to defend his neighborhood as well as himself.

If he has regrets about doing this, maybe a few because he put his life at risk for the benefit of people like you who wouldn't even come to his aid, and instead snipe at him from your Monday-morning quarterback seat.

"If I was a juror I would be wondering where the toxicology report was. And if none, I would wonder what was hidden."

West could have called in WILLIE NELSON for opinion on weed and it's effects.

Would be better witness than this lying liar ME.

“...listening to Jahvaris one would thing Sybrina was more involved.”

I gather Trayvon and Jahvaris had different fathers as the latter bears his mother’s last name. It could be Jahvaris’s father didn’t have an “Alicia” to co-parent him.

These family situations are complicated. And, IMHO, the basis of most of our societal ills today, the reason young men kill and are killed for no good reason.

Well, let me amend that to more training.

Listen, i'm just glad that you're able to see a silver lining in all this for Zimmerman. Maybe, someday, he will, too.

Watching these governemnt liars avoid the truth at all cost, is enough to make one vomit..

And on a grander scale we are seeing the same thing with Fast & Furious, Bengahzi, IRS, etc.

If its us then it’s ok to be lied to. If somehow we might misspeak we are held to the ultimate letter of the law, and hear “ we are a nation of laws”

The sheeple have no idea what they have created, and are allowing to happen around them. Wait till it hits them individually, and then they will complain and realize they have no voice.

I don't thing the people created this. This was created by government insiders, the super wealthy, wealthy foreigners, and the politically well connected. They gained a foot hold and completely infiltrated governemnt at all levels. This is morphing into a vile dictatorship of deviates who represent themselves, with most becoming millionaires. We are lied to on a daily basis, regardless of which political club is on top.

For instance, there are reasons why the people running the show want open borders, amnesty and the destruction of our sovereignty. There are reasons why government is monitoring, bugging, spying on, and seizing records of law abiding citizens. Not long ago, the Founders warned us about about this. Repeatedly.

Now it's happening right out in the open, as their co-conspirators in the media suggests Americans, "Want amnesty, want gay rights, want bigger governemnt, want more laws, want open borders, want more taxes and want more multi-trillion dollar wars".

Government actions at all levels intentionally compromised and undermined our electoral process and their motives are clear.

I personally do not believe governemnt will be made right by traditional means such as voting or protesting or waving signs. I think those days are way gone. Government has just become too big, too corrupt, too powerful, too punitive and all encompassing to go back to the way it was supposed to be.

Take care.

An old question of mine: When did GZ KNOW when TM was dead?

When the lady detective told him TM was dead - or - when he touched TM's body by pulling TM's body away from his body?

Lady detective indicated GZ seemed surprised and dejected at the news that TM was dead, and said his faith said not to kill.

But, when he was handling TM at the scene, didn't he realize he was dead?
