The Egyptian army has set a deadline of 4 p.m. Cairo time for the Muslim Brotherhood government of President Morsi to compromise with the people of Egypt (by stepping down.) Morsi refuses. 18 people were killed and 200 were wounded in clashes at Cairo University last night.
A Washington Post report from Cairo on dueling statements from Morsi and the army:
Waving his hands and shaking his fists in a 45-minute speech on national television late Tuesday, Morsi swore that he was committed to the democratic process that brought him to power and said that any attempts to subvert the constitution were unacceptable.
The army, in turn, posted a message to its Facebook page saying: We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool.
In his speech, Morsi acknowledged that he had made mistakes during his year in office as Egypts first democratically elected president. But he appealed to Egyptians to give him more time to deal with the countrys problems.

Egyptian military officials said the immediate target of the Sinai campaign is to keep out militants who might sneak into Egypt through the tunnels to spread chaos.
Thanks
Don’t know...but you can bet the whole area near the Siani and elsewhere, where people can flood the borders, are going to be watched.
Egypt has a mission now...so we’ll be hearing various reposts round and about them for a time. I am just hoping the Pro Marsi people will settle down but they are pyssid.
We’ll see. I have a hunch things may heat up.
<.....”The crisis in Egypt had already resulted in a ‘shortage of basic goods’ in the Gaza Strip because of the closure of the Rafah border crossing”....>
That will be at the heart of them moving against Hamas...if they do. Egypt was tired of being “in want” and abused. Heck if the US would just quit propping up these people they’d settle the issues themselves!
When the blood flows to strong and hard they yell for the US to step in....then we pay them NOT to fight.
Beautiful!
Just heard on Egyptian TV:
A guest mentioned that our administration “green-lighted” the MB TO START A CIVIL WAR.”
it happens that in Ismailia, the army is clashing with the MB.
There is a call to the rebels to come back to Egypt’s squares to protect the perceived “moral equivalence” of the “comparable numbers” of the “angry” Islamist “youth!”
Yeah, right...it’s that word youtes again!
Don’t forget that they want to get to the rebels and their ligitamacy BEFORE TUNISIA START A TIDE IN OTHER “Arab Spring” countries.
Live streaming ‘from Raba’...the skirts have arrived.
Reporters in Egypt saying military is using pellit ammo and tear gas when needed...some shot fired and questionable who is doing the actual shooting.
Heard lots of Alla akbar.....and yes these creeps want a civil war.

Egyptian “Own TV” is calling the rebels back. They are reporting that CNN an Al Jazeera are taking the Islamists side and creating rumors of death and injuries in front of the Republican Guards HQ. THEY ARE CALLING IT A COUNTER-COUNTER REVOLUTION!
“Friday of Rage”
* Islamists attempt to storm the Orthodox church in city of Ena, in Upper Egypt but security forces stop them.
* Brotherhood Supreme Guide ‘Mohamed Badie’ has been arrested Egypt
*Arabic reports that the new president just ‘dissolved the Shura Council’- the upper House of the parliament
But these people are nasty players as we all know...they say the will have a peaceful march but that;s like watching tinder accumulate...one spark and it goes up.
Anger like they carry, on a normal day, can fly without provocation...
