The Egyptian army has set a deadline of 4 p.m. Cairo time for the Muslim Brotherhood government of President Morsi to compromise with the people of Egypt (by stepping down.) Morsi refuses. 18 people were killed and 200 were wounded in clashes at Cairo University last night.
A Washington Post report from Cairo on dueling statements from Morsi and the army:
Waving his hands and shaking his fists in a 45-minute speech on national television late Tuesday, Morsi swore that he was committed to the democratic process that brought him to power and said that any attempts to subvert the constitution were unacceptable.
The army, in turn, posted a message to its Facebook page saying: We swear to God that we will sacrifice even our blood for Egypt and its people, to defend them against any terrorist, radical or fool.
In his speech, Morsi acknowledged that he had made mistakes during his year in office as Egypts first democratically elected president. But he appealed to Egyptians to give him more time to deal with the countrys problems.

Isaiah 9:16 In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them. 17 And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.
18 In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord Almighty. One of them will be called the City of the Sun.[a]
19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the Lord at its border. 20 It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them. 21 So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and keep them. 22 The Lord will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the Lord, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.
23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing[b] on the earth. 25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.
Egypt: Security Forces Impose Travel Ban On Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood Head
July 3, 2013 | 1628 GMT
Egyptian security forces imposed a travel ban on President Mohammed Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood head Mohammed Badie and his deputy Khairat al-Shater due to their involvement in prison escapes in 2011, security officials said, AFP reported July 3.
The media leadership in the TV building, Maspero, was fired by the lower echelon for the leadership’s role in supporting the line of the MB’s guidance office in the past year.
The MB’s leadership members are trying to go to Yemen, Libya, etc. to reorganize and fight the “infidels” who kicked them out. Their families are outside Egypt already.
Our media should take note of American’s back lash for their “bias by omission.”

I seen reports on Twitter that Morsi has been taken to a Ministry of Defense building. Not sure if under arrest or “for his own protection.”
That is funny, they at least have two networks giving different views unlike the USA.
I have seen...
ya gotta be kidding me..
It will be interesting to watch for sure!
She better watch out, Americans especially Obama supporters are not very popular there right now.
Thanks for the link. I can’t understand a word but can understand the mood.
Asked why the Pentagon had previously declined to disclose the calls, spokesman George Little told reporters: “I think you can understand the sensitivities of this situation and that's in essence the bottom line.”

Morsi is “no longer part of the decision making process.”

A military coup is underway in Egypt, according to Mohamed Morsi's national security adviser and a Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson. Security forces have placed a travel ban on Morsi and a number of top Brotherhood officials, according to AFP sources.
Hundreds of Egyptian soldiers, together with armored vehicles, are taking part in a military parade on the road near presidential palace, a witness told Reuters.
National security adviser Essam El-Haddad added that he expects army and police violence to remove pro-Mursi demonstrators from the streets of Cairo.
A presidential aide said in a statement that Morsi is still working at the Republican Guard barracks in Cairo and it is unclear if he is free to leave. He added that Morsi's message to all Egyptians is to resist the military coup peacefully without using violence.
One report indicated that crowds were cheering enthusiastically as Armored Personnel Carriers were moving towards a pro-Morsi rally.
