I was just listening to the talking heads that this is a complete game changer. They are trying to say that because Zimmerman had a gun and it was already loaded in the chamber, he could not have fear for his life. I say that is BS. I know if I had a gun loaded and someone had me down beating on me I would still have fear for my life. What about cops, military, etc who always have guns loaded in the chamber. Are they going to say there is no way they could have fear for their lives because they have loaded guns?
I remember one witness explaining that you should have one chamber in your gun ready to use.

That’s an ignorant conclusion by talking heads. The primary reason for carrying is to protect yourself in the event that you encounter a situation where you do fear for your life.
The reason for keeping a round in the chamber is to allow fast response time when your life is actually in jeopardy. Having to take time to rack the slide in an emergency defeats the whole purpose of being able to respond in a split second when one needs to do so.
