It’s been a great week for gay activists, but Dr. Cornel West is not happy. As the postmodern professor par excellence explained to radio host Tavis Smiley last Sunday, the advances made by gays and lesbians mean that “we black folk are just being pushed to the back of the bus”:

Again this has something to do of course with what history books will say. The irony of the age of Obama in which black folks found themselves pushed to the back, [and] our gay brothers and lesbian sisters more and more pushed to the center.

Perhaps West is right, and identity politics really is a zero-sum game. Then again, the good doctor may simply be suffering from a touch of radical conditionedness.

Most Black people would rather see them UNDER the bus. Anti-gay (not the PC crapola homophobia) is rampant among them.

Cornel West forgot Hispanics - blacks have been pushed to the back of the bus by Gays, Lesbians, Hispanics and Asians.

Oh, and almost forgot: ‘illegals’ - folks who crossed the border last month - unable to speak English for a month or two... (not a slam against a friend of Trayvon’s - but yeah most of the illegals can also read cursive.)

It amazes me that more alleged black “leaders” aren’t openly upset about the hijacking of the civil rights movement by other groups.

When pastors at AME churches are told by the govt. that they are going to have to perform same sex weddings, or else, it will be too late.

Blacks should wise up and understand that the Democrats will continue to take advantage of them and ignore them as long as they vote Democrat exclusively. Why should Democratic leadership do anything for Blacks... when know that no matter what the blacks will show up at the polls and vote a strait Democrat ticket?

Dems have also used blacks to guilt trip white conservatives into trying to get some black votes... but that's over. Our guys have finally seen the light - we're not going to get the Hispanic or black vote and that's OK with us...
