Today, July 1st, is DAY #16 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Last week the prosecution feebly presented the first series of witnesses against George Zimmerman. However, as most observers would note, the witnesses called by the state have so far been more beneficial for the Zimmerman Self-Defense position.

Thanks for the thread
seating =sweating
Prosecution will try to have 2 detectives say Zimmerman’s having gotten out of his truck has something to do with alleged culpability. Defense should be able to shut that nonsense down without too much trouble.
Stand by....

My understand was that a majority of local law enforcement supported Zimmerman?
I’m starting to wonder if after deciding to prosecute this place they realized there was nothing there, but politically couldn’t withdraw it. So they said OK, we’ll show you how weak this case is, here are the prosecution witnesses . . .
do I have it right that Serino initially made statements not so favorable to GZ then changed his story that he was being forced to arrest him?
Only the ignorant and the biased would believe that a neighborhood watchman deserves to be charged with murder because something violent happened (no matter what that violent thing was) because he was not in his truck but was on foot watching a suspicious person. I’ve heard callers to talk shows repeat that allegation ad nauseum and I am sick of it. I hope it is so blown out of the water it never comes down again.
Thanks for the thread. Ready to roll!!

He has told conflicting stories but on the witness stand he will have to settle on just one story.
He was the lead investigator who eventually recommended a charge of manslaughter for the flimsy reason that GZ should have stayed in his truck, all the while prosecutors were saying that there was not enough evidence to bring a charge.
Later he told the FBI that he was being pressured by some in the department to bring charges. When put on the stand he will have to name names.
No, they were counting on the race card. The jury pool was not favorable to the persecution and the defense was able to pick off a few racists. I think the persecution is still hoping to draw a race card because that is all they have.
