To: Uncle Chip

I’m starting to wonder if after deciding to prosecute this place they realized there was nothing there, but politically couldn’t withdraw it. So they said OK, we’ll show you how weak this case is, here are the prosecution witnesses . . .

No, they were counting on the race card. The jury pool was not favorable to the persecution and the defense was able to pick off a few racists. I think the persecution is still hoping to draw a race card because that is all they have.

I think they know they have a weak to zero case so what I believe they are doing is trying to reduce the impact of the defense witnesses by calling them as prosecution witnesses....kind of a 3 card monte play: “this is not what you think you’re hearing, they are prosecution witnesses and they bolster our case.

What truly galls me is this case is brought as a second degree...IMO, if they cannot prove that, he should be acquitted, no reduction to some kind of manslaughter or such just to appear non racist.
