Wake up! Neither PARTY is serving the people or operating in the BEST INTEREST of AMERICA.

And you want to keep the same system in play. Nothing will change for the BETTER. Just more and bigger Government.

Reminds me of the guy who sits in front of the fireplace and says "give me heat and then I'll put the wood in."

We have to make a move, it will either be politically, or physically. Maybe both, but time of talking about it is over. This is a shame but it is where they have brought us. I Believe God has everything under control, but we must have Heads up looking for direction

First, you must defeat the media propaganda machine. It can be done!

No matter what the PDSers say, I am still behind her 100%

Absolutely.

Give me a list of those PDSers and I'll send them all a preemptive "Oh, go to hell." :-)

When one thinks about it the USA is the only country in the world who can live independently off their own country yet we’re trotting off all over the globe establishing “internationally accepted governments” so we can set-up pipelines, and ravage other countries resources for the global banksters. Slash NGO money, PBS...We’d all be safer and richer in more ways than one.

I’m for a smaller government and all it entails therefore I’m for the Freedom Party.

Hi, Jim.

I’m the guy who submitted the question to ANHQ. I was hoping, but not expecting, that Uma Pemmaraju would ask it. Si it came as a most pleasant surprise to hear my name on Fox News and see my question on the screen. I’ve been a FReeper for years, so if this thing ever happens, let it be known that FR played a role in its genesis. Or should that be Exodus?

As much clout as Sarah Palin has, even she could not be expected to do this on her own. But if a coalition of conservative heavyweights would join forces, they could pull it off.

I specifically mentioned Mark Levin in my question to Gov. Palin because he is one of her staunchest supporters, and she trusts him. Remember, she chose Levin’s radio show to make her announcement that she wasn’t running in 2012. He has a brilliant legal mind and is an expert on the Constitution.

If former candidates such a Fred Thompson, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and others could be brought on board, they could merge their mailing lists into one very substantial voter list. The new party would also be a magnet for good political minds, i.e., those consultants and advisors who are true believers and not just hired guns.

Such a pool of talent would concentrate the star power, and the new party would create considerable media buzz. Every network would want to interview the principals behind the party, and conservative talk radio would have something positive to talk about instead of just complaining about the latest assault on the Constitution and traditional American values by the left.

Recall that the Reform Party was able to gain such momentum in the early 90s due to a lack of an outstanding presidential candidate from either of the two major parties. There was quite a bit of frustration on the part of conservatives who were unhappy with the way Bush Sr. had squandered Reagan’s legacy and allowed his coalition of conservatives, libertarians and blue collar Democrats to fall apart. A number of Democrats didn’t trust Clinton and knew that his bimbo eruptions were sure to build to the climax of a major political scandal. Had the Reform Party offered a more attractive presidential candidate than the awkward Ross Perot, it could have garnered more of the vote than the 19 percent it got in the ‘92 election.

Many of the same and similar conditions that led to the rise of the Reform Party that existed then are present today. The presidential candidates the American people have had to choose from in the several most recent elections have been lackluster. The economy has been in the tank for nearly five years. Obama is socializing, politicizing, and downsizing the U.S. military. America’s institutions, from our schools to our churches, are under assault from the left and being transformed into nefarious — if not downright evil — reflections of what they were not so very long ago. If ever there were a time for a “Freedom Party,” that time is now.

Yes, it would be an uphill struggle to pull it off. But the potential exists to make such as party “go viral,” and it could grow at an even greater exponential rate than did Perot’s effort of two decades past.

However, it could also die a quick death. All those who engage in trying to bring a “Freedom Party” to fruition should take a cue from Santayana, for if they fail to learn from history, they will be doomed to repeat it. The Reform Party lost its relevance because, in large part, of the factional squabbling which was allowed to go on and eventually tear the party to shreds. The best way to avoid that would be to set those things which divide the factions aside and keep the focus on the goal of saving the republic.

<....”The Reform Party lost its relevance because, in large part, of the factional squabbling which was allowed to go on and eventually tear the party to shreds”.....>

But we saw this happen even in the primaries....there was no single candidate any could agree on and they were all booted until Romney was the only one left standing....

How could we possibly unite the nation “together” when even on FR we couldn’t come together for a candidate. We shot holes in every one....it was a battle zone all it’s own.

So I can already see people hammering any representatives brought together.....maybe you could perhaps ease my concern?

Freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose.

Best reply on the entire thread! How about another line?

Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin' don't mean nothin' if it ain't free.
Isn't Kris Kristofferson a big lib? I bet he couldn't have imagined back in the 1960s when he wrote the song that he was writing the theme for the 2016 Presidential election of Sarah Palin. :-)

It does seem daunting, but with God, ALL things are possible. He is in control, and there is absolutely nothing He cannot do. Your mileage may vary, but this is a tremendous source of strengh for me.

Thank you, Josh Painter, for submitting the question. I see that you mention Rush on your profile page and how he and Reagan changed you. Now, if you’re not too busy tomorrow would you please call Rush and finish saving our Republic? ;-)

Corporate America seems to have switched all American jobs to China. Making all sorts of things. Which they then ship back here, and sell to us for the same prices.

This has been critically aided and abetted by regulation that restricts and squelches, and in many cases outright outlaws, quite a lot of manufacturing and job-creating enterprises. The reason Americans have to buy stuff from China is because between environmental regulations, labor regulations, anti-discrimination regulations (got to have those expensive handicapped bathrooms and stairs), and on through heaven only knows how many agencies, it is a losing proposition to try to do it in America. We can't even make our own energy except with stupid, bird-slaughtering wind turbines and glaring solar farms.

Government tyranny working on an ignorant populace is a key component of killing jobs and driving them to China.

I think you are not understanding my point.

We cannot, export so many American jobs.

We will destroy America.

Are y’all willing to let Paulites play under the big tent of the American Independent Party, along with all the right leaning independents?

Uh oh. That's the question ... Christian morality can ponder the wisdom of the Founders ... who stated our God-given rights, such as to bear arms, and to life, liberty, and the pusuit of happiness ... and didn't say anything about our lack of right to gamble, for example, clearly a "conservative" position. Why not?

Christians would be able to live a lot more "Christian" if the Federal government got out of the way. In that, Christians and libertarians have a united interest. A tripping stone is in the Christians who think libertarians only want to make drugs and abortion legal so they can more easily pursue libertine lifestyles. It insults a lot of people, including self-described libertarian Thomas Sowell.

Let free, moral, self-governed people in States and counties and municipalities do for themselves and see what prospers and what withers.

Most of these bureaucratic agencies need to be totally disbanded. Send everyone home, turn out the lights, put a for sale sign in front of the buildings. If we can do that, repeal the 17th amendment and start abiding by the 10th, we might actually save this country.

Prosperity and jobs would blossom all across America. It would be like the '50s all over again.
