Even though DD didn’t have the vocabulary to describe the sound of wet grass, it is likely the earliest witness to hear the scuffle and the squeak of shoes on the pavement and grass cleared up the mystery of wet grass

Yesterday’s thread was a classic—a bright spot in a dark day when 2/3rds of the US Senate became Senators from Mexico.
When I hear TV talking heads sputter how the trial is going swimmingly against Z, I laugh, and wonder, what the heck trial they are watching?
I believe the MSM is trying to prep the low-information voters out there that Z will be found guilty, and if by any obscure chance he is not, then mayhem must ensue.
What I like about these live threads is the back and forth between Freepers, looking at things from all sides.
It is far more objective than anything I see on TV.
Barring some sort of OJ-esque jury nullification, it should take under 5 minutes to find Zimmerman not guilty.

All the pundits seem to be forgetting what I think is an important issue. The pundits keep talking about Zimmerman’s mindset of “being in fear for his life,” which they are saying has not been made evident at this point. They seem to forget that Zimmerman’s testimony is that Trayvon noticed his weapon, reached for it, and said you’re going to die.” Zimmerman indicates that’s when he shot Trayvon.
Did anybody think it odd that lights were kept low during this dumbass questioning with the battered Z face aimed at the jury the whole time, lets hope they are throwing it to the defense.
My assessment at this point from what I have heard in trial so far, articles I’ve read here in Florida, and Zimmerman’s account, is that Zimmerman headed back toward his truck after the 911 operator adivsed him to stop following. Martin then snuck up on “the white-ass cracker,” sucker punched him in the nose, jumped on him and started punching, and pounding his head onto the ground. When Martin noticed Zimmerman had a a gun on his side, Martin went for it, and said to Zimmerman, “you’re going to die.” “The white-ass cracker” having his headed pounded in the ground got possession of the weapon and fired.
