Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] … it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.
The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

The point I made to those reluctant in the jury to let the guy go was the state DID NOT prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. I was proud to be the one to make that point stick, because it was the truth of the matter.
It's likely what the jurors will find here, unless they feel threatened by the race baiters.

Now that I’m thinking about it, it would be faster for me to get my gun if the holster ‘was’ on the opposite side of the hand I would use to draw. Gun would have the handle facing the front. It would be alot faster to draw it that way.

WESH is reporting that the defense illicited testimony from officer Smith that the second degree murder charge was taken off the table. None of the elements of 2nd degree was present at the time he was taken into custody. They are saying it was bullets in the prosecutions case and it is over. Any legal minds here?
Since prosecutors are government employees, they don't get paid by the hour, and generally don't get overtime.
Even then. I am an EMT. I often leave patients with the cops. Happens all the time.

The flaw in your argument is that jury will be instructed that it cannot convict on lesser charges. Only in cases where the defendent is not claiming self defense can the jury consider the lesser charge. If the state fails to prove murder two, then it doesn’t get another chance to try you for a lesser charge. It’s double jeopardy otherwise.
