Day 15 (Week #3) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | June 28, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 06/28/2013 5:14:39 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] … it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.

The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

>> Is a finding of manslaughter even an option?

Great question.

I have a soft spot for the falsely accused.
I hate political show trials.

I think the statement that O’mara read outloud that JGood gave immediately after the incident was POWERFUL. I think it would make a huge impression on the jury....it did for me.

“Anyone know the background of the analyst on WFTV. I certainly disagree with many of his assessments. He seems quite pro-prosecution.”

All leftist freaks and racists are pro-prosecution in this case.

Caught a few minutes of Hannity yesterday afternoon and he had a racist pig on who was sure Z was guilty but could not cite any evidence. By the time Hannity said “That’s opinion, not evidence” for the third or fourth time, I was home.

His #1 drawing showed them on the grass. His #2 drawing showed, and he stated, that they were now on the cement....apparently they moved a little bit and ended up on the cement, which wasn’t very far from where they were on the grass.

I suspect that Good had agreed to a testimony much more favorable to the state but didn’t give them all they wanted and that’s why Bernie got mad and why O’Mara might be talking to him about the undue influence of the state re witness tampering.

Maybe I haven’t seen enough trials, but it sure seems unusual and topsy-turvy that in this one the prosecution is the side that is continually on the defensive

Excellent observation.

Zimmerman prosecution has spent the entire trial on the defense..

This pretty much sums up the governments case against Z. The government is attempting to destroy someone for defending himself.

Sounds like they’re laying the foundation for the riots if and when George is either acquitted or not guilty.

Keep feeding the “impression” that the prosecution has George on the ropes, again and again. Don’t ever acknowledge that the prosecution is screwing up, let alone that this is a farce of a prosecution.

The LIV will listen to these talking heads, “experts” and then wonder why the system (whitey’s system) let George walk.

So transparent...

The guy’s job is not to “railroad innocent folks” but rather to get the bad guys off the streets. Zimmerman already took the bad guy off the street. The prosecution was forced by public pressure, not facts, to bring this case to trial.

It is wrong to criticize him for trying to let the truth come out in this trial, as we’ve seen continually during the prosecution.
******************************************************************
Well, his job description might not include the words “railroad innocent folks” but that’s what he has been doing for more than a year (and being highly paid to do that). His motivation (however “noble” in YOUR mind) and fear of “the mob” do not justify persecuting innocent citizens.

According to Bernie if I don’t see your mouth move then you are not saying anything as if ears are incapable of directionality.

You know, all my life, I was never prejudiced. There are even some blacks in my extended family. However, since BO was elected and started pushing his anti-white agenda, I’m beginning to feel differently and I don’t like to feel that way or admit to such feelings. Thanks for uniting the country, BO!

Same here. I think it’s not just Obama, though. Youtube shows all these videos of Holder’s people fighting in McDonalds, and the nanny-cam of the home invasion, and on and on. After a while, people can’t deny what is going on here.

And it is NOT blacks. It is black culture. I work with plenty of “them” that are not part of that culture. But the cuture is poison to those in it and poison to the general welfare of the country.

The sad part is that just as a German soldier of WWII may not have been a nazi and maybe even would have disagreed with it and was a Christian. You still had to shoot him on the battlefield.

The members of the black culture are its prime victims. Unfortunately for them, the rest of civilization has to do whatever it can to protect itself against them. It would be nice to destroy the culture, but that is not PC.

I’m sensitive to this issue because my wife does not have a racist bone in her body but I caught her making “semi-racist” remarks last night. Sort of in the vein of “Don’t tell me. He was black, right?”

Right.

Its undisputed that somebody was pounding the shit out of somebody right.

We have all seen GZs bloody bashed head photos, where are the photos of TMs busted lip an bloodied head? Assuredly they would be on protest POSTERS if they existed, but they simply don’t exist.

If I was a CC , responsible gun person, doing community service, identifying a potential suspect, why would I pick a fist fight? I have a GUN.

The simple answer is you would either draw your weapon and say dont move till the Cops get here or get the hell away from me. You would never engage in a fist fight, thats just stupid to even consider.

GZ was clearly jumped.

This case is a sham. + I wonder what Holder and DHS has on this idiot judge
What an absolute joke

I share the same feelings, its so sad... Obama ‘could’ have been a great president by motivating the underclass to secede but instead he and his clan have divided.

Yes. MOM (?) (today’s defense)seemed very considerate of JG. I think his second remark to JG was we realize how much of an imposition this has been on you and your family, etc. I contrast that with how BDLR treated JG: were you lying when you omitted details in your first reports that you gave in later reports? JG probably had to move out of RATL because BDLR brought Z to trial. BDLR likes to hustle when he is interrogating his witnesses but it seems like a big show for nothing since none of his points ever quite seem to land on Z, even with his own witnesses. The only thing he has left is his confident style of interrogation and hope that the all female jury picks up on his confidence but conveniently ignores that he is consistently failing on the merits of his case. And even then he occasionally blunders on procedure. I wonder how much of a hypocrite one has to be to put on that kind of BS show on national TV. Another thought, as terrible as it is to contemplate the implications, is that BDLR is counting on the judge to save the day for him at the end and toss a NG jury verdict or slant the trial so much in favor of the prosecution later that the jury is forced to render a G verdict.

Both BDLR and O'Mara rest with Good saying he didn't see actual fists hitting flesh. Just arms going down.

Martin was just fanning Z to ensure his comfort.
