A new film claims the official government report on the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996 is an elaborate fabrication, but the most shocking part of the story is that charges are being leveled by some of the very investigators who put the report together. Six experts who appear in the film were members of the National Transportation Safety Board investigation team that concluded the crash was an accident, but they now claim they were silenced by their superiors. The movies, "TWA Flight 800" will debut on EPIX TV next month, on the 17-year anniversary of the crash.

Interesting. Two days after this happened a friend told me he was talking to a contractor who was on one of the Navy vessels in the area because they were testing some new weapons system and the contractor heard an officer on watch remark " My God we've shot down a civilian airliner".
Wrote it off as a conspiracy theory at the time. Amazing how a lot of these conspiracy theories ( IRS targeting Right Wing groups) are turning out to be true.

These cockamamie conspiracy theories all suffer from grossly excessive weight.
E.g., in this one, the absolute limit is terrorists with a MANPAD trying to bag an El Al. As soon as you add in a missing rented boat and US prior knowledge and failed intervention, you end up with hundreds needing to be in the know. Yet nobody blows the whistle on the fiasco. Not possible.
BTW, one thing I find surprising is the lack of MANPAD attacks outside of war zones and third-world rat holes, given the number of them that have supposedly fallen into jihadi hands.

Amazing how one little screwup blows the best laid plans, huh?
I still have the VHS tape I bought from C-Span of Billy Jeff’s (less than 10 minute) news conference about this incident + he was quite visibly shaken. He kept repeating that we “...couldn’t/shouldn’t rush to judgement....” etc. Sound Familiar???

There’s the really big flaw in your logic.
There were plenty of whistles blowing, but none were being listened to.
And don’t forget the testimony of the woman at the water co office that the Murrah windows were blowing outward.
It might explain the silence, though. If terrorists had done it, you would expect them to take credit for it. I've always felt like somewhat of a conspiracy nut for doubting the official investigation results; I look forward to this documentary.
