The Senate voted down an amendment to the upper chamber's immigration bill proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) that would require a full biometric visa tracking system placed at every land, sea, and air port of entry in the United States before legalized immigrants could receive green cards.
The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system.
Gang of Eight member Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told Breitbart News last week that the tracking system was the "lynchpin to the whole bill." In May, he told various outlets he favored such a tracking system. On Tuesday, however, Rubio voted against the Visa tracking amendment.
Members of the "Gang of Eight" promised border security before legalization in the process of bringing their immigration bill to the Senate. However, an amendment proposed by Senator John Thune (R-SD) that would finally construct the 700 mile double-layer border fence as mandated by the 2006 Secure Fence Act was voted down as well with the help of the Republican members of the Gang of Eight.

Rubio has now voted against more border fencing and biometric visa tracking. Did he just pull the wrong lever by accident? Twice?
He's not stupid. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Rubio is finished so I guess he figures in for a penny in for a pound.
Rush will begin blasting him shortly, there is no hope he swings back and even if he does now, the die is set. The citizens must go over the heads of these jerks and get in the faces of those voting and ensure this bill does not pass, period. There is no reason it should given how many divergent groups oppose this bill from union members to Patriots.
Right you are, this all started with the idiot pictured in the spoof.
That's a worn out myth that has been debunked with solid electoral evidence time and time again. Like Charlie Brown and Lucy's football, the Republicans have been falling for that trick for decades.
Sort of like a flea or a chigger. Same tenacity. Same intelligence. Same itch.
Yep. But effective just the same. Would that GOPers could be just as persistent.
Its hard to rationalize what Rubio is doing other than to say he is stuck on stupid.
Follow the money. The OBL has tons of it.
Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Jive.
Marco Rubio — the Manchurian Senate candidate. Who owns him? Obviously, he has no mind of his own.
Uh, he’s hispanic?
Why do we automatically assume these guys are stupid, a more likely explanation is they complicit. The reason they choose to help the enemy is open for debate, but I don't attribute their behavior to stupidity, quite the contrary, they play us like a fiddle.
What do you think ObamaCare accomplishes. You medical reords will be available to the IRS which by default includes the NSA and HS, they will have access to your DNA, through your doctor.
The stupidity involves the Republican caucus.
Did Pelosi tell her caucus that they could vote for Obamacare and still keep the House? If so her caucus was very stupid to believe her. The Dems may or may not have lost the House because of Obamacare, but it cannot be argued that it was Obamacare that contributed to the historic margins by which they lost.
If Amnesty passes the Republicans will lose the House.
Unlike what happened in 2010,the Republicans that voted against amnesty will pay the price more than the Republicans that voted for amnesty.
Any House Republican who believes that they can keep the House if Amnesty passes is just as stupid as House Democrats who believed that they could keep the House if Obamacare passed.
The Obama regime and the democrats remind me of the labour regime we have over here..........they implemented socialist policies and welcomed in immigrants at unprecedented levels, as a result we are all but finished as a nation.........I honestly cannot believe it could happen in America. Seems it already is.
The title is “Rubio Flips Again.”
Strange choice of words. Has Rubio ever voted for anything that really strengthens the border or does anything about voter ID or voter fraud?
Rubi/Ryan : “
look, the immigration laws are broken, They are not working now and we must fix them. I will hold out for a bill that guarantee's 100% secure border, then when Republicans are sure this will be fixed they will all support the bill. It will force Obama to do it. .....look, this is an improvement... no they get nothing and pay taxes in return.....Obama will hate this bill and we can dare him to veto it...I am compassionate and believe in the American Dream...”
” Rubi/Ryan :
look, the immigration laws are broken”
“So, lets let all the illegals in, with no border enforcement, per Reid”
OOPS.....is this a hot mike?
Your right and I stand corrected.
Rush had Cruz on the 1st half of the 2nd hour. Cruz was absolutely brilliant -- he laid bare the evils of this bill.
You don't want to know what Rush said about Rubio later -- he was fawning all over him hoping he would see the light on this bill. I wasn't focused 100% on the this segment but I think Rush says Rubio is still Reaganesque. It made my stomach turn.
We are about to truly lose our Republic and traitor Rubio will have a big hand in that and Rush still has kind words for him.
If Rush was a true Conservative, if Rush had 1/1,000,000 the conviction of our Founders he would be honest and call Rubio what he is -- a hispanic pandering traitor...
