Romney said his Bay State health reforms werent necessarily suited to other states. Few listened.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, Mitt Romney maintained that the health-reform law he signed in Massachusetts was not the same as Obamacare. Our plan was a state solution to a state problem, Governor Romney insisted. He was trying to fix Massachusetts uniquely broken insurance market, he said; Obamacare, by contrast, was a a power grab . . . a one-size-fits-all plan. Nobody took him seriously not conservatives, and not liberals. But today, as the nation braces for health insurance rate shock, Romneys critique of Obamacare is ringing true. Call it Mitt Romneys revenge.

Conservative unity at the start, however, could overcome the problem of “our Democratic friends”, as the late Jack French Kemp always called them, interfering with Republican primaries.
Philosophically I agree with the Fifty Lab Experiments model.
For example, when Vermont adopts Single Payer and then crashes and burns within two years, it will serve as a very valuable lesson to the rest of us. And it will only affect about half a million hippies who live there.
Everyone voted for Romney === except for Romney
who waited for his wife to help him.
Mr. RomneyCARE gave America Obama TWICE as he
attacked Gov. Palin in in misogynist way, and thereafter
4 years later, went limp after attacking every conservative
and removing them from the race (and hope) of America.
It’s more that the media pounds down all but the most liberal candidates in the primaries, then turns against their choice in the general when the Dem is the most liberal. Until US people can shake their entertainment addictions and stop hearing commercials all day this will continue.
Dems and Pubs are all part of the single party of Ivy League Incumbent Lawyers. One side needs to go away first, I don’t care which. Vote 3rd party.
Revlon don’t make enough lipstick to make that pig look good..................
Well, at least you admit you’d rather have Obama than Romney.
This was the "electable candidate?"
It is not a piss ant question. It’s a legitimate one.
Obama is still in the White House because you voters decided he was better than having Romney there.

Uhm ..I expect you’ve chosen the wrong forum to rehabilitate Romney.
Besides ..”What difference, at this point, does it make? “
You are using a suspiciously progressive propaganda technique. How about some proof from you that you aren’t a liberal infil-traitor.
No, Obama is in the White House because the GOPe did not listen to its base.
Willard has Annie’s finger in the wind again...
Make stuff up much? If I wanted obama I would have voted for him.
No point in arguing with a group of posters that would rather have Obama over Romney. That think that The National Review is a liberal rag. ...that one should be zotted for posting it. A group of posters who during the primaries the best they could come up with is Rick Santorum.
Whose bench for 2016 is so thin it included Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin and......
You can’t argue with those who imposed RomneyCARE ...
and then made it nationwide as they helped Obama.
