White House doesn't know where Snowden is

White House chief of staff Denis McDonough doesn't know where NSA leaker Edward Snowden is, but is suspicious of some of the claims the former government contractor has made.
Citing the ongoing investigation, McDonough wouldn't talk about his or President Barack Obama's views of Snowden, though he did tell host Bob Schieffer on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday that he's unsure of whether Snowden is still in Hong Kong. "I don’t know where he is," McDonough said.
He also suggested he has some doubts about some of the claims Snowden made, including that he would have been able to access the president's personal accounts. Without getting into specifics, McDonough said it's "surely my view that [Snowden] did" overstate what he was capable of doing.

I’m guessing China. I doubt any gov’t employee took the 2 seconds to sit down and *gasp* change some passwords.

What I care about is that he hasn’t broken any laws, in so far I can see. No one has indicated or outright pointed to what he supposedly breached and stole that was significant.
Moreover, all he did was put a name to another spying program that simply trawls for information.
What cracks me up is they call it PRISM. A real prism can provide distinct wave lengths with little or no diffusion of wave lengths.
PRISM is just another Carnivore which does not look for a specific person or persons and the device or devices they use to communicate.
Instead, the government, who created some weird “Partnership” with service providers demands direct access to a network or a whole pipe of the network and their equipment trawls and catches every transmission within that whole pipe.
Maybe PRISM is NSA’s version of FBI’s Carnivore but, that is what they do.
It’s like knowing there is a drug dealer within a zip code so they search every home, building and outhouse within the zip code.
Should they be able to act as King George did?
Why do you think the 4th amendment is very specific about warrants and searches?
If the LEO community finds additional information in the process of looking for a single individual or group but, that information includes information not part of their original target or intent, can they use it later to prosecute other crimes that are uncovered from that process?
How can you prove they violated the 4th when the evidence chain of custody is violated, as those persons responsible for initiating and managing the trawling search, such as in a Carnivore application, login not as a person or ID but, as a generic “Administrator”, which could be anyone or group within the alphabet of agencies in the Federal government?
You have no way of persevering and enforcing your 4th, 1st and 5th amendment rights as you cannot determine who initiated the search and managed it, then passing it off to the actual investigator who can challenge in court.
Why is this important?
What are their certifications?
What information did they actually obtain that may or may not be germain to your case. In other words, did they cherry pick what they presented to the court for your case and fail to turn over, in discovery, any information that may save you?
What is their real experience?
What failures have they experienced and have those been remedied?
The list goes on and on but, you are prevented from confronting an element in your accuser and as far as I am concerned they are traffic cameras.
The White House can’t find it’s a55 with two hands and a flashlight.
No. But they are more than willing to use a small army and the searchlights of a thousand suns to enter ours.
