If that’s the way you wish to term it, it’s fine with me.

Others will understand.

O’REILLY: Do you make them register with the federal government? Do you tell them they have 60 days to get out of here before we put you in jail? What do you do with them?

PALIN: Do we make them register with the federal government? Yes, we do.

O’REILLY: Yes, so we know who they are.

PALIN: We have — exactly, yes. I want to answer to that question absolutely.

O’REILLY: All right.

PALIN: We’re not going to give them a free pass.

O’REILLY: So you make them register with the federal government.

PALIN: We’re not going to reward the bad behavior.

O’REILLY: And if they don’t register with the — say you gave them 60 days to register with the federal government. There’s a form at the post office they have to send in like a Census form. All right, say they didn’t do it.

PALIN: You deport them.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented (illegal aliens) immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

Yes or no?

The arrogant, all-knowing man of principle is suddenly reticent.

When you reveal you are man enough to own up to what her views are, we may move on. Until then you’ll just have to twist in the wind like you have been.

man enough to own up

What does someone like you who repeatedly refuses to answer yes or no to a simple question know about being a man?

I may not know the exact definition of what it takes to be considered a man, but I can tell one of the things that it takes not to be considered one.

You have yet to express a grasp of the following exchange.

I’m not making up questions to give you a hard time. I’m merely revealing what Sarah’s views on comprehensive immigration reform are, and why I think it would be a bad idea for her to be back on FoxNews while we’re trying to head off a nation killer of a bill.

When you’ve come up with the stones to address reality, get back to me.

Correct. The dems big prize is to make 50 states vote like California. It will bring them total power for multiple generations, it’s all they want, they don’t care about the consequences.

I think the issue with Sarah Palin is that so many Freepers look at her and see “Sarah” instead of seeing “Politician”. And she IS a politician, after all, playing the game.

We aren’t in that game - and the people that put themselves in the middle of it eventually figure out how to twist the rules of game to their best advantage, not ours. And they get GOOD at it out of survival instinct, or they quit and go back to where they came from.

All of us out here WANT to believe in the folks that we see as our standard-bearer, and its very, very difficult to accept when the so-called standard-bearers show themselves to be just another politician playing both sides against the middle.

And it swings back and forth day after day - look at Rand Paul. He steps up, does his filibuster, and we’re applauding the guy - “He’s the ONE!!! Look at him GO!!!” etc., ect., A couple days later, he says something that folks disagree with, and suddenly he’s personna non grata instantly, and here we go again...

We’ve been so boned, bent-over and screwed, time after time by these people - people that we elect and/or expect to be opposition -(See Boehner, John, Toomey, Pat, etc) - that we’ll overlook things even though it’s right in our faces, just for the off-chance that someone actually IS who they portray themselves to be.

I admit I’m biased towards Mrs. Palin; as I’ve said before, I like her unabashed Americanism, it resonates with me as I’m sure it does with a lot of people. But that’s Sarah the citizen; Sarah the politician is different, and you don’t get to be a Governor without being a politician above all else.

But legalizing people who break into the country, take advantage of our tolerance, generosity, and compassion and then basically spit on my people, my culture, my heritage, and all that I hold dear and then try to force me to accept is flat-out wrong and unacceptable. If that’s what she - and Rubio, and others - is supporting, in the misguided hope that these foreigners will somehow magically vote Republican, then I can’t support her.

Like SJB said, RE supporting McCain:, yeah, I get that as well, and it goes back to what I said about playing the game. He put her on the national stage, so she probably feels she owes him. But - there comes a point where THAT debt has been paid off, and I think it’s long passed. McCain is wrong on so many points, and has shown himself to be nothing more than a Democrat tool that any further support of him just damages her credibility.

D-1, you said we should our own people to standards; I agree. A long time ago I said out here “No More RINOs”. I meant it. While I certainly don’t see Mrs Palin as a RINO, I will oppose her when I believe she is wrong, and support her when I believe her to be right.

On immigration, if she supports legalizing criminal behavior and rewarding those people with citizenship - and it IS a reward - she is absolutely wrong.

That’s about all I can say on it. I’ll leave further debate to ya’ll fine gentlemen.

Interesting and good post.

It comes down to this for most of us discussing on this thread: This immigration bill sucks. It won't help America be better, rather it will do the opposite. It's a game changer.

I've pointed out repeatedly that Palin has NOT come out in favor of this bill, and that's a fact. Others have, but she has not.

I've also said that if she comes out swinging for Ryan and Rubio's bill, it will change my support for her, and it will, so strong is my opinion on this bill. Unfortunately there are some posters here that won't be able to change their minds if the opposite were to occur.

I think that game is being changed already, brother. They’re ALL up there on the Hill scheming and plotting how to get those “new voters”.

We’re being told, basically, to sit down, shut up, pay up, and suck on it - by the Public Servants, our hired help.

Least, that’s how I see it.

Not all.

But way too many.

I hope you're wrong, but fear you're right.

Doesn't mean we should give up.........
