During an interview with FOX Business, former Rep. Ron Paul explained that he was concerned about the well-being of National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden.
Im worried about somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile, Paul explained. I mean we live in a bad time where American citizens dont even have rights and that they can be killed, but the gentlemen is trying to tell the truth about whats going on.
Paul added that there were no signs of Snowden defecting to a foreign country, which meant that he was not really a threat.....

You use the best tool for the job. Drones don't work well in cities if you don't want to draw a lot of attention.
seems millions of us have then but you have no problem with the 4th amendment being broken then , OK got it you enjoy your phone calls and talking about private conversations, oh wait they’re not private they know your health, your money, your toilet issues, what you buy, wen you go out, , well enjoy that and maybe the idiots in the country of the sheep population might wake thehell up
Yup. And then no one will blink and eye. They’ll dummy up some report about how he always had lung, brain, heart, whatever problems. Even freepers will call anyone who doesn’t believe the natural causes meme a conspiracy theorist. Then his coroner will be poisoned. Everyone will move on.
You mean besides everyone on CNN, CBS, NBC, PBS and half those on Fox? Only the 56% who think that spying on Americans is a fine idea. And montanajoe, of course...
You've summed that up nicely.
And, who can claim to be "innocent" anymore? We know what you read and we know what you say. You are not innocent. ;-)
“Why ANYONE still obeys any law is a wonderment....”
Maybe because those who don’t have to follow laws might want to make an example of me. As you said, “...an occasional US citizen assassination without due process...” Gets the attention.
Not that I think we’ve arrived at that point yet...
So domestic spying is not only OK, but expected, unavoidable and even desirable?
Unjust conduct, when unpunished, from ‘authorities,’ does have a chilling effect on compliance with the law by others. One might say, ‘if there is no virtue in sight, then why should I step back in the name of virtue?’ However, I would exclaim that stepping away from virtue is really just cowardice. But what is virtue? Virtue is known (or should have been known) as the law. Yes, think about it.
We obey the law because we are philosophically committed to the Rule of Law. We are committed to the idea that there should be a just and legal jurisprudence, and that such a jurisprudence is an aspect of, and necessity for, any happy and sane civilization. We obey the law because we believe that it is better to act justly and virtuously than to act otherwise. We also obey the law, even in the face of the unjust, in order to set an example of what is just for all to see, and perhaps from which they may learn virtue.
That’s only about the best way I can express that thought tonight, but I hope you see my humble point, FRiend.
off point, are you serious, for crying out loud the 4th amendment ignored , that alright with you is it because they have done it before even though they said they were not doing it?
Now again what secrets did he give away and for saying off point then you are the person sitting there attacking the guy who instead should be looking at what he said but no you go with those B/S talking points.
you sit there and repeat B/S talking points out by obama, Feinstein , Bohner, Cantor etc and then you might ask why the hell are we in such crap right now
wake up, the problem is with obama and his thugs not a guy who has given no secrets away and I bet you think he has but never questioned what secrets exactly because you have not answered that question have you, all easy to call someone a name with no facts
it’s all secret
secret judges
secret courts
secret Govt spying in us
and some sheep sit there and shout traitor and yet wen asked what secrets did he give away they can’t answer because they just repeat the obama talking points and the ruling class talking points.
What is even more scary is a couple of freepers going along with this crap, falling for the divert attention away and Alinsky tactics
That, sir, is called trading freedom for safety.
I trust you know the rest of the aphorism?
I know, that’s the sad part. The man is a hero and patriot for what he did. Not counting anything else, this revelation puts him in a class just below Paul Revere as warning bell ringer but he`ll probably pay with his life, and there are actually so called freepers who want him to be taken out, assholes, the lot of them!
. . . becaiuse it's a secret!
Yes, it's all pretty crazy.
The Tree of Liberty requires periodic watering.
It’s not always straightforward to determine if the blood is from a patriot or a traitor.
Yup....some people claim the govt reads your emails and listen to phone calls. Some claim the IRS is used as a political bludgeon. Some claim guns are run to Mexico to subvert the 2A.
They’re crazy/s
sometimes I don’t know if to laugh or cry at the public today.
I heard a woman saying traitor earlier but when I asked her for details she said he gave secrets away, OK what secrets
no answer.
the 4th amendment was put in place for a reason and now some on our side think we should rip it up and spy in people
Even Orwell would be shocked at the current system.
It was never supposed to be a comprehensive, intrusive peek into every phone call and email of Americans. Now with the known track record of Obama/IRS, there is little doubt what has happened to the scope of this operation.
There are a lot of folks here that are not near as conservative as I thought they were tonight. Very sad.
