Dem. Congressman on IRS Scandal: 'The Case Is Solved' "Wrap this case up and move on." Daniel Halper June 9, 2013 10:20 AM
Democratic congressman Elijah Cummings says the case of the IRS scandal has been "solved."
"Based on everything I've seen, the case is solved," said Cummings in response to a question on the topic. "And if it were me, I would wrap this case up and move on."
I agree. Case solved. Wrap it up:
Impeach/prosecute/convict/incarcerate Obama/Biden.
Prosecute/convict/incarcerate all involved in the IRS and any and all congress critters or judges authorizing or pushing this obviously unconstitutional crap. Disband the IRS and shut it down. Repeal ObamaCare. Outlaw all government workers unions which are simply democrat fronts fostering a big government pro-socialist/anti-conservative attitude within all government institutions. In other words, our government is working against we the people and it’s institutionalized. Time to shutter all the unconstitutional ABC police/welfare state agencies.
The MSM is NOT going to cover Benghazi. Period. Finished. Through.
It is the one scandal that will take out not only Barry O. but Hillary too.
It’s NOT going to get coverage.
Not solved but exposed.
I think we could really stir things up if we can drive wedges between the white house, IRS workers, and the union representing them.
Yet another “Elijah” that needs to be “taken up” by space aliens and never seen nor heard from again.
Benghazi is the prize. It is thee target rich scandal. IMO it goes straight to obama and hillary. Scapegoats will be sacrificed for the other “scandals”.
So, government employees can wantonly damage private citizens in violation of the law, and the best we get is, “Yes it happened, move on.” No redress, no punishment.
That’s not satisfactory, Congressman.
Dollars to donuts (whatever that means...), if the Prez was a Repub, I'm sure Mr. Halper would be pushing for more investigations, more press coverage, and for the Prez to resign "for the good of the nation".
I mean Mr. Cummings.
And the solution? They are trying to wear out the majority of the voters. The media is going to play up everything and concentrate mostly on the amorphous type scandals and discount the real scandals as minor.
There are "more important" scandals, in terms of the implications — in that sense Fast & Furious was far more important than Benghazi (arguably more important than the snooping*) because it [F&F] is (a) violation of arms treaties w/ Mexico, (b) an unauthorized act of war, (c) violation of federal gun-law, (d) treason [if one can prove the cartels are the enemies of at least two states {easy, I should think}].
The snooping is much, much more cut-and-dry than even the F&F incident; plus it has a much more "it could be me"/shit-a-brick factor that makes it completely separate from the "political divide" (R/D games) and frames the argument in limited v. unlimited government terms. (This is a good thing, IMO.) I strongly suspect that if the usual kabuki theater goes on regarding the snooping that people will start shooting.
* This is defacto proof that the government can do whatever it wants w/o consequence; that the law is not binding on the government; that we live in a country ruled by tyrants.
Benghazi is three scandals? Explain.
“Benghazi is three scandals? Explain.”
You’ll have to explain that. I think if you read what I said carefully, you’ll see that I said THEE SCANDAL. Not THREE SCANDALS.
I've found the second most idiotic member of Congress! Elijah Cummings!
The most idiotic? Hank "Will Guam Tip Over" Johnson!
“Is there anything that Rep. Cummings wouldn’t say or do in defense of the rat hierarchy? “
No! He looks at himself in the mirror, takes another look at a photo of Obama and “decides” this has to be “over.” With ole Elijah, it’s ALL about skin color!
>>And the solution?
Sadly, there is no solution. Half of the voters think they want what he’s offering. Another 10% of believe they are wealthy enough to weather the storm. The remaining people are not represented by anyone in Washington, and the golden handcuffs of credit ratings and police records limit what those people can do without giving up their life, or at least their livelihood.
And why would they want to? The 60% aren’t going to help them and will probably spit on them and turn them in, given the chance.
The communists will win and then it will take a generation or two of people who have never known prosperity to create men of steel who will be willing to rise up and kill their masters.
