Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius rebuffed an appeal from Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa., on behalf of a girl who needs a lung transplant but cant get one because of a federal regulation that prevents her from qualifying for a transplant.
I would suggest, sir, that, again, this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies, Sebelius replied. The medical evidence and the transplant doctors who are making the ruleand have had the rule in place since 2005 making a delineation between pediatric and adult lungs, because lungs are different than other organsthat its based on the survivability [chances].

As long as you can get yourself a news story, you jump to the front of the line? It's an awful thing for ANYONE who dies before being able to obtain a transplant but I don't want the government to pick and choose at their discretion.
If the rule is unfair then change it. Later.
I DETEST the left....Life means NOTHING to them unless it’s a CRIMINALS life....preferably a COP KILLER’s LIFE!

“That Sarah Palin was crazy with that talk of death panels!”

And yet they want Americans to pay the healthcare bills of illegal immigrants.
where does such authoriy derive?? Is it part of Obamacare?
The government will bend the rules left and right to harass targeted taxpayers, conservative patriots, selected journalists, etc., but it will strictly exercise inconsistent and subjective rules to deny a child a shot at life. And they called us liars when we spoke of death panels faceless bureaucrats coming between you and your doctor to make life and death decisions about a loved ones survival. It doesnt sound so far fetched anymore, does it?

Yes, lots of authority delegated to the Secretary.
The problem is that the matter is left to the secretary and she has chosen to override the opinion of the attending physician.
What a Conspiracy Theorist!
HAR HAR HAR!
Now to check on my Hip Replacement.....
But aren’t these the same people that scream we need more gun control laws, a national database, etc. “if it just saves JUST ONE CHILD”?
