House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) revealed new testimony from IRS employees on CNN's State of The Union on Sunday. According to transcribed excerpts released by the Committee, a Cincinnati IRS employee made it clear they were told by Washington, D.C. personnel to give extra scrutiny to Tea Party groups:
Q: In early 2010, was there a time when you became aware of applications that referenced Tea Party or other conservative groups?
A: In March of 2010, I was made aware.
******
Q: Okay. Now, was there a point around this time period when [your supervisor] asked you to do a search for similar applications?
A: Yes.
Q: To the best of your recollection, when was this request made?
A: Sometime in early March of 2010.
******
Q: Did [your supervisor] give you any indication of the need for the search, any more context?
A: He told me that Washington, D.C., wanted some cases.
******
Q: So as of April 2010, these 40 cases were held at that moment in your group; is that right?
A: Some were.
Q: How many were held there?
A: Less than 40. Some went to Washington, D.C.
Q: Okay. How many went to Washington, D.C.?
A: I sent seven.
******
Q: So you prepared seven hard copy versions of the applications to go to Washington, D.C.?
A: Correct.
******
Q: Did he give you any sort of indication as to why he requested you to do that?
A: He said Washington, D.C. wanted seven. Because at one point I believe I heard they were thinking 10, but it came down to seven. I said okay, seven.

I keep wondering how, with all of these scandals plaguing the White House and the whole administration, Janet Napolitano and the Homeland Security department have escaped scrutiny.
Wasn’t she the one that, towards the beginning of the scandalous targeting of “righ-wing” groups, and that her dept would be very vigil about those groups, and the returning war vets? There’s a lot of smoke coming from Napolitano’s words to watch out for the vets and right-wingers, and I’m pretty sure that, she’s in on the illegal targeting of the “tea party” and patriots and anybody that utters an “unkind” word about Obama and the democrats.

The President has created this culture of using government to punish those that don’t think like him, act like him, or look like him.
This was obvious from the beginning. The underlings should not be thrown in jail. The top guy should.
Name one, just one person involved in any scandal since Zero has been
President that has gone to jail? I’m talking about a civil servant or an appointee? I am not talking about resigning. I’m talking about going to jail?
Please enlighten me.
"We will punish our enemies and reward our friends.
It made my blood run cold, cause I knew he meant it.
Outrageous!
Obama knows all about stealing elections!
Voter suppression is the least of it. I believe Shulman (what 157 WH visits) was executing a strategy of persecution of Obie’s enemies list.
Most corrupt Administration ever.

No names won't work.
I agree.
The longer Holder is in office the worse it is for the democratic party, the media, and liberals. They ALL want to see Holder go, because they see him as damaging their guy in the White House, and their party. Obama needs him to protect the secrets, so we have a no win situation for all of them as long as Holder "twists in the wind".
Obama has to fire Holder, or risk looking weaker, and more importantly, more complicit, than he already looks.
And we all know Obama won't fire anyone.
chicago mob style politics,it only works for us if we get names, places, dates.
Yep. How will we ever know they are held accountable?
Thats not obamba but Val/Jar always remember she runs the show.
There are so many lies involved here that sooner or later someone will become unsure, scared, insecure and will look for a way out. Lies piled on lies don’t equal more lies. They equal a huge risk.
