The Treasury IG Report is horse hockey. They did a cursory audit and discovered malfeasance.

If they have now discovered that 88 IRS employees have documentation regarding the targetting, then you can assume this was a division wide directive that went up MANY levels into IRS management.

Worse, anectdotal evidence suggests that various branches/divisions of the IRS worked with the FBI and ATF to further harass some citizens.

The GOP better wake up and treat this as all-out war or terrorism. This has to be rooted out and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Now, let's hear the liberals (democrats) say that this was just one or two people who were making improper decisions on their own. These directives were coming in from the commissioner because he didn't put a stop to this targeting. Obama’s presidential campaign had an enemies’ list. That speaks volumes. Can you image the list that his party has that is unknown to date. They went after companies as Gibson Guitar for their contributions to the Republican candidates. We need the whistle blowers to come forward so they can save themselves from going to prison; though helping to reform the IRS most importantly.

OK I have seen or heard a lot of crap as to how and why this originated. Here is what I see:

The Dems are trying for a one party system ALA Communists They are using the government (tax) money to fund the takeover - Acorn, Obamacare, education etc. Crushing or destroying the opposition with Denial of Tax exempt status, IRS examinations, EPA, OSHA ATF etc harassment and legal fight intimidation to say nothing of welfare, food stamps, disability etc. IRS was reorganized in 1952 from a politically corrupt and controlled organization with political appointments. Like it or not the place worked fairly in general until reorganized again during “Clintoons” tenure 1993.

Under Clinton, the agency was centralized into DC, hm-mm, wonder why. Areas of control for certain functions was spread out in the country, sic EPEO in Cincinnati, etc. At the time of reorganization, there were 62 executives in the field (Directors)who were mostly promoted from within and who were knowledgeable in the legal requirements, disclosure, etc etc.

Under the latest reorganization, many "executives" were brought into IRS under BS pretexts, one manager is interchangeable etc. But many of these folks were ignorant of IRS procedures and / or from a more politically influenced or appointment basis agency. With 62 internally developed Directors, I am sure a few would have done the right thing and notified the oversight committees etc. All "in the know" knew the reorganization would result in corruption and virtually mirrored the pre 1952 corrupt structure.

Interestingly I informed (email or posted) Breitbart, FOX, & My hero, Marco Rubio that the IRM on line, http://www.irs.gov/irm/part1/irm_01-001-002.html#d0e10 was erroneous because it cited only one political appointee. The on line IRM has been tremendously revised, (no revision date in the header) Perhaps I had nothing to do with a change in the works but I am glad I ratted them out. If IRS doesn't go back to its pre Clinton structure, the structure will remain corrupt. All JMO
