Mickey the merchandiser has gone loud and proud, in a subtle sort of way.
Walt Disney World will be the gathering spot for thousands of gays, their friends and families this weekend, as the 23rd annual Gay Day takes place Saturday at the Magic Kingdom. Now a weeklong event, Gay Days began in 1991 as a single day on which the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community was encouraged to "Wear Red and Be Seen" while visiting the world's most-popular theme park.
Though Walt Disney World has always maintained a neutral stance on the annual event, neither endorsing nor discouraging it, the merchandising machine that is Disney isn't passing up an opportunity to put out a few crowd-pleasing souvenirs.

Gay Days' organizers say they expect 170,000 people to participate in some aspect of this year's event, which started Tuesday evening and runs through Sunday. In addition to visiting Disney World, participants have a range of planned events from which to choose across the tourism district and the rest of the Orlando area, including a Taste of Gay Days restaurant exposition, a charity auction, pool parties and other social gatherings.

Me too!!!! (getting there the 8th). I ran upstairs in a panic the other day to Google “Gay Days” because it flashed into my head out of nowhere. We got rained on in Disneyland 2 years ago and I about would have died if it had been at the same time.
Unknowingly we went years ago and my former son-in-law just happened to wear a red shirt that particular day. Did we kid him much? LOL! Accused him of knowing and not telling us about it. We didn’t stay very long. And no, no refund. Never went back either. Can’t stand the place any longer.
I’ve been there during Gay Days. I only saw one gay couple. I didn’t know about the red thing.
This is sick and disgusting. I knew they had some kind of Disney “gay days” events at what used to be the adult section of WDW (Downtown Disney?), but it goes on at the Magic Kingdom - the very heart of Disney World - now??
Where’s Westboro Baptist? Talk about a Target-Rich Environment.
When Eisner took Disney away from the family
That was the end
And they let him in to begin with
Eisner represented a value system diametrically opposed to Walts
If you’re going to be there the week after Homo Child Recruitment Week, be sure to bring lots of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Or maybe a flamethrower.

What you said! We rent a cabin in that area for a week every summer. At least the queers haven't taken that area over (yet).
Will Obama be attending? Perhaps with Reggie on his arm?
The homosexual agenda propagandists have sought management jobs wherever they can take special joy in spreading their pervasion. Looks like the new president of Disney World is opening gay:

No longer a place to take kids, parents, grandparents or friends. No more purchasing of Disney anything. Perverting all that at its core was wholesome. The Boy Scouts are finished. Now Disney. Ditto the liberal schools of theology. Given the trashing of what was good, Americans who care will build start new institutions and leave the perverted to themselves. The media who pander to all that are going down the tubes fast.
Irony is that rainbow behind Mickey is backwards.
I think a planned and announced Gay Day at Disney is a good idea. Disney can’t stop it from happening (it’s a grassroots event organized outside of Disney’s control) and it serves to drive gay attendence on a specific day or week ... Allowing people to plan any vacation there accordingly.
Rump Rangers ride again. Don’t be caught in Tom Sawyer’s cave.
See my tagline.
That is what our family is doing now as well. Renting a cabin once a year to go. Dollywood Rocks.
Deep down, they still know what they do is wrong. It's their guilty conscience that won't be satisfied w/mere acceptance.
Gays invented a gender, why not invent a God, being gay is all about designer reality..
Gay Day at Disney World is Soooo right.. radical normality..
GAys are quite Normalphobic..
A kid looking at Mickey Mouse in a costume next to a Gay transgender person in FULL costume must say “WHY NOT”..
Disney World is NOT ABOUT normality.. you know reality..
Being Gay is an “ACT”.. they just “ACT” normal..
The only ones that can buy the act.... is a kid..
-OR- a democrat... most of whom never grew up..
And to think only a few short years ago,the only thing there that could make you sick was riding on Space Mountain just after you ate!
Those of us who live in FL have a rather negative opinion of Disney.
First of all, they have way too much money - they steamroller over anyone in their way. I guess all gigantic corps must prioritize their bottom line, but there’s something galling about the way Disney does it - while pretending to care about families and such.
They have a totally socially progressive outlook and are one of the main reasons FL is purple. It’s like half of the S-P north imported their way into the Christian South and said, You don’t like it? Tough, we’ve got way more money than you. Half the workers are gay. Disney owns giant swatches of property. You think you are driving on a road and nope, the Disney cops come after you. It’s like Big Brother who looks like Mickey Mouse is watching you.
They also have an incredible disregard for the pocketbook of the average FL consumer. Even their parking is $15. People here in Tampa LOVE Busch gardens - they have a fun pass for all year for the price of a daily admission. Disney doesn’t know what family friendly pricing is. We used to tease EPCOT is “Every Pocketbook Comes Out Trashed”.
