Bret Baier @BretBaier 2m Decision: Fox News Executive Vice President Michael Clemente has said that Fox News will NOT attend the DOJ meeting if it is OFF the record

LOL!
Holder invited Fox News? For “off the record” nonsense?
It reminds me of the final episodes of ‘The Shield’ where the US Attorney offers Vic complete immunity from all crimes he may have committed in exchange for his testimony about something else. But first Vic had to honestly list all of his crimes. So when Vic sits down in the interrogation room with a recorder to list all the crimes he committed he starts reeling off murder and all kinds of crimes the US Attorney had no idea about. But it was too late - - Vic now had immunity.
Holder just wants to spill stuff that the Democrat “mainstream” newsrooms would then have to sit on lest they breach “off the record” confidentiality.
Wonder about NBC and CBS?
Not bad. But I'd prefer Mark Levine.
Okay, then it seems they are pretty much together on this.
Glad to see it. That puts a different light on it.
Thank you.
LOL
Brad Woodhouse should be strung up with a statement like that.
Glenn!! lol
Send reporters with cell phones set to record on and also some MP3 players with mics in them set to record....
RECORD EVERYTHING!!!
YEP!!
They do it to us!!
Turn the tables on them!
Do they still have news programming? I thought they just hired fiction writers at this point, no investigative journalists required that way.
Sharyl Atkinsson is about the only one in that group!
Attorney General Eric Holder’s plans to sit down with media representatives to discuss guidelines for handling investigations into leaks to the news media have run into trouble.
The Associated Press issued a statement Wednesday objecting to plans for the meetings to be off the record. “If it is not on the record, AP will not attend and instead will offer our views on how the regulations should be updated in an open letter,” said Erin Madigan White, the AP’s media relations manager.
The New York Times is taking the same position. “It isn’t appropriate for us to attend an off-the-record meeting with the attorney general,” executive editor Jill Abramson said in a statement.
Like the New York Times and the Associated Press, CNN will decline the invitation for an off-the-record meeting. A CNN spokesperson says if the meeting with the attorney general is on the record, CNN would plan to participate.
The Huffington Post’s Washington bureau chief, Ryan Grim, also said he will not attend unless the meeting is on the record. “A conversation specifically about the freedom of the press should be an open one

It is turning into a bigger story that so many networks are declining the offer!! lol!
I thought I had read Huffpo was not attending?
Even HuffPo said no.
Good !
“So if Fox isnt attending, and neither is Huffpost or AP.. who IS attending?”
Holder....LOL
My poor attempt at humor obviously failed to tickle your funny bone...I thought the DailyKos was a dead giveaway
Holder’s gonna get to pound sand with himself..
