A woman handing out pizza samples at a Virginia Costco was shot and killed by sheriff's deputies Wednesday afternoon after she began acting strangely and came at the officers with a weapon, authorities said.
A sheriff's deputy also was wounded in the leg, possibly by a ricochet. He is expected to recover.
The melee began at about 3 p.m., when store employees noticed the woman acting oddly at the Costco in Sterling, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said. Witnesses said she seemed upset about the pizza she was handing out.

Renee Haber, a front end manager at the store near the busy intersection of Cascades Parkway and Route 7, said the incident started when a woman involved in food preparation became agitated and began to act erratically as her shift was ending. She said the woman, who had been serving pizza earlier in the day, began saying “crazy things” and seemed concerned about the number of servings in a pizza box.

Weirdly there seems to be nothing between “stop” and blamblamblam in any of the police training manuals anymore.

Don’t hold your breath for an explanation. A cop who can’t disarm a woman with a knife without shooting her to death shouldn’t be on the force
As someone noted before in the good old days you had to have size and strength to be a cop
